I scored 951 for the round it could’ve been more if I had C Cleary and if I didn’t play Thompson. I ended up taking Warbrick 64 which put SJ out of my best 17 as that was the only way I’d get the 64, SJ got 73 but I don’t regret losing the 9 points I’d take a 64 any day. Grant C was a let down, as was Bird, Turbo and Thompson.

Team with 31 trades spare til round 20

    267k itb:

    Grant
    Haas Ford Hopgood
    Preston Katoa
    Cleary SJ
    Bird Alamoti
    Miller Turbo Warbrick

    Loiero Cartwright Lemuelu Boyd
    Doorey Thompson BMM Trindall

Early thoughts are Trindall to I. Katoa and Thompson to Teddy.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

P.S. rank went up from 18017 to 13160. So still not where I wanna be at 13k.

Team looks fine, can't expect to make massive jumps as the table is quite tight between 1000 and 20000

Early days so better to get the team set and making money like you have relying on depth than chasing one hit wonders
Catch up 50pts a week over a season and you will be laughing

Part of the trap a few people make is chasing POD guns now and ripping apart the team with some dodgy stop gaps and running out of gas later.
Get a couple of injuries and the team falls apart completely where you catch up because of the above

So just sit tight and things will work out, let others take the crazy risks and just enjoy your team and the footy

    This 100%

I read a post by Milch once about how if you played this game with all the highest scoring players by the end of the year (over a significant sample of games for each) than you would be unlikely to have any PODs at all, as most would be trying to get the best players in.

PODs are only really helpful when trying to make up ground and hoping to get lucky by differentiating your team to those in front of you. Otherwise, early days like we are now, it's best to just pick the players you think will make the most money and/or score the most points, it's really that simple.

    Round 5 trades were

    Trindall to I Katoa
    Doorey to Hosking

For round 5 I had another green arrow scoring 1046 it was a great week for me rank in from 13160 into 5536 so I’m stoked with that. I had no one in my 21 msn squad score below 30. Only real thing I might have to do is trade out Carty potentially.

Current team value is 11.84 with 195k itb……

Thinking I might not get Hynes as I have Cleary and SJ and I might focus on bringing in underpriced guns fallen guns who have lost solid money….

Current team with 195k spare and 29 trades til round 20 is….

    Grant
    Haas Hopgood Ford
    Hosking Katoa
    Cleary SJ
    Bird Lemuelu
    Miller Turbo Thompson

    Boyd Loiero Cartwright Preston
    Alamoti Warbrick I. Katoa BMM

As always feedback is most welcome.

I ended up doing no trades last week so I still have 29 left and 195k spare….

I scored 965 in round 6 and rank in from 5536 to 2728.

Was going to sell Boyd but will hold now that’s he halfback again with Foran he will do all the kicking. I feel it’s worth holding Carty and Loiero still and Warbrick plus Thompson another week.

I feel like Hopgood is a sell thinking maybe…

Hopgood to Matto and BMM to Couchman would leave 90k spare and 27 trades……

    Current team before trades….

    Grant
    Hopgood Haas Ford
    Hosking Katoa
    Cleary SJ
    Bird Lemuelu
    Turbo Miller Warbrick

    Boyd Loiero Carty Preston
    Alamoti Thompson Katoa BMM

Feedback as always is appreciated. Thanks lads.

Team is looking great, if I was you'd I'd be aiming to get Warbrick out of the 17 even if you keep him in EMG.

Just noticed you have 195k in the bank. I'd be doing:

    Loiero > Teddy
    Hopgood > Matto

Then either save your trade or upgrade BMM to a better cow.

Thanks mate I can do that but does it make my 14-21 too weak?

I'm not overly keen on Couchman as mentioned in the main thread, do you not fancy Sele? You know the Bunnies better than me.

I think I'd just do the 2 trades this week and then next week you could double trade Alamoti/Warbrick for BSmith or McInnes / Cow of the week and you've then got a strong 17th man.

I’m worried a bit on Sele, Arrow is back too. I feel Sele will hover at around 30-35mins and he is very injury prone. We have a 4 forward bench as well.

Yeah that's fair, in that case I'd settle with the double trade of Teddy/Matto and reassess next week.

I think your top priority is a stronger WFB3. Something like Hopgood to Cheese and Warbrick to Teddy would net you more points than your current trades, I think. You could do BMM to Couchman as a luxury third trade but not sure it's worth it.

EDIT, didn't see how much you had spare, you could go to a much more expensive mid than Cheese and still get Teddy.

    Good Rank Rise Mate

I`d be looking at Hopgood to Matto and Warbrick to CNK.

However I think I`m higher on CNK then others

I scored 815 for round 7 in a lower scoring round still a green arrow up from 2728 rank to 1966 rank.

    Trades were:

    BMM to S. Luke
    I. Thompson to Couchman
    Hopgood to Murray

I have 26 trades left til round 20 and 68k spare.

Grant, Ford, Lemu, E. Katoa, Turbo, Miller, Warbrick, Carty in my 17 all went below 40.

    Trades this week potentially

    Carty to Manu
Alamoti to Host (not sure it’s worth it).

    Current team:

    Grant
    Murray Haas Ford
    Hosking Katoa
    Cleary SJ
    Lemu Bird
    Turbo Miller Warbrick

    Boyd Loiero Preston Cartwright
    I. Katoa Alamoti Couchman S. Luke

Nice team mate, I think our teams are very similar.

I am also looking at doing those exact trades.

In the same boat as you worrying if Alamoti to Host is worth the trade.

I`m leaning yes at the moment as long as he get`s around 70 minutes.

The only other thing I`d be considering is Tedesco over Manu which in my situation allows me to go Carrigan to Matterson.

Overall very solid and your rank should continue to rise.

    What`s your squad value?

I'd probably just do Carty to Manu and hold the second trade tbh. I reckon saving a trade is probably more valuable at this point than shuffling the deck chairs in 18-21. If Host was going to be in your scoring 17 I'd maybe feel different.

Looking at the trade it looks like Host would be 17th man.

Doesn't Manu take Carty's spot at 17, and Host take Alamoti's spot at 18/19? Or am I missing something haha

I would have thought Manu pushes Warbrick out of WFB and then it`s the 17th spot that Host would be coming to fill so Warbrick doesn`t have to be played.

I may be wrong only Rabbits knows ahahaha

Oh true I didn't even look at Warbrick. In that case I'd probably make the trade then.
