    ROUND 1 THOUGHTS

    Happy with

Really Happy with the guns I chose in Grant, Murray, Carrigan, Cleary and Latrell, all good scores and no concerns besides a minor Latrell knee injury.

Also a very good basis with the midrange I chose in Hopgood, Boyd, Miller, Loiero, Katoa

Warbrick and Doorey also look like they will generate some nice cash

    Not Ideal

Brandon Smith and Egan Butcher could have had much better games but overall Happy to hold, not super concerned with either.

Trindalls game could have been better had he kicked on however overall with another 2 weeks the punt could be worth it.

The cheap centre roulette did not have a great start however Raiders, Bulldogs and Tigers should pick up.

    The Bad

Cash Gen is currently the main problem I see with my team as not many players have really kicked off and generated low BEs for themselves like I was hoping, definitely something to watch

    Initial Thoughts

Currently Assesing Two Pre TLT options

    1st option
Pending TLT and potential injuries to Latrell and Talau(Should be all good there), is not use any trades as the team is in an ok position, hold off and see what happens in the coming week

    2nd Option
Trade Ikatoa and Uto to Ford and Carty
This option is a Cash Gen option I'm currently seeking out. Both Carty and Ford have low BEs and have had great starts to the season. Only issue I have with this option is the potential sideways trades and Uto stepping up and going 1PPM in 50 minutes.

    Nice work on this Goatboy
Without influencing your decision making as you have this under control, I would suggest option 2
We get a shit load of trades now and these early ones can have the most impact
Unsure if those are the best but I think you use 2
And if in doubt with minutes, buy a second rower Wink

Good luck and a great start

Thanks mate, I was leaning option 2 .
All of the years where I have had a really good start early trades were the key. Just picking the right guys to go in and out become the challenge.

Do you think Uto will keep the 50mins mate? I’m worried have him too. Nice team too mate. Scored 3 more points than I did.

Thanks mate, the more I think about it I think I`ll keep Uto.

I`m looking to get some cash gen going so I`m keen to get in Ford or Cartwright and Uto allowed me to get both in.

I`m more looking towards going TMM to one of those two now.

I like option 2 as well.

Cash gen is going to be a problem for all - not much promise <300k. Maybe that changes this round.

    Post TLT Trade Options

    Option 1
    TMM to Carty
Good for Cash Gen, I like this trade

    Option 2
Talau to Thompson, Uto to Carty
Potentially strengthens my centres while still creating good cash gen.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Official Trade for this week

    TMM to Carty

    Reasoning

Carty great cash grab, didn`t end up going Thompson not fully confident in him yet, didn`t want him to turn into another trash centre (Fantasy wise) on my team.

Pretty happy with this, will see what the week brings

    Round 2 Score 762.

    Grant
    Murray Carrigan Hopgood
    E Butcher Katoa
    Cleary Boyd
    Talau HSS
    Miller Latrell Warbrick

    Smith Loiero Cartwright Uto
    Trindall Doorey Alamoti Katoa

    Most Likey Trades
    Smith to Preston
    Talau to Hammer

These trades generate more cash again with Preston and Hammer BE.

More importantly I get the feeling that talau will stay below 300k all year, this just becomes a problem all throughout and limits cash gen and is barely playable. Getting rid of him feels good however is Hammer the right option.

Hoping for a good week 3.

Hope Hammer brains it for you! If he does, you've got a pretty rock solid backline for now, and can focus on upgrading the 2RF or other HLF in the weeks to come. Good looking team imo.

    My 2C:

No need to trade HSS, he's not in your 17 so can just sit in EMG for a bit until he gets a try and hopefully starts making some money, I'd take C off the table. I think Butcher, Trindall, and Doorey are all sells so I'd take F off the table too.

I think of the options you've presented here B is probably the best, although I quite like A and D (with Ford). Is there any reason you can't do both Butcher to Walsh and Doorey to Ford? That'd be my preference imo.

I can do that trade, however I thought it may be worth waiting a week for the 2nd part of that trade.

I like A) or B) or brownstones suggestion

The problem with lemulelu is that he is his main value comes from being a centra, and if you trade trindall to him you have 4 centres, which no one needs (included HTF at centres)

What are your future half plans? Because boyd seems like a weak link as a starter

(Full disclosure I am starting him this week at half and not happy about it)
