Not massively different to the team I've put together tbh. I have Katoa as the Melbourne 2RF... no idea which two they go with but picking the more expensive one probably makes it easier to adapt come TLT without "clearing team"

I'm not that high on Miller (will watch trials) and prefer Haas to Tapine although that's pretty marginal. Three near-base price centres is understandable but a bit of a gamble for job security and dead spots, I've managed to fit Staggs in rather than one of Talau/Alamonti, but that means Hodgson not Robson.

Thanks mate. Miller is priced at 29, I feel he should avg 38-40 so I’m seeing value there.

Haas I’m not sure will get the 65mins he was getting to start the season last couple of years with Carrigan now playing such big minutes and Taupau there. I have Haas avg about 59-60. Tapine is a ppm beast and he avg 63 in the second half of last year. I think he gets a few more mins as well and will avg 60-62.

On Hodgson I just can’t go there personally.

Tapine also doesn't play Origin and is from a team that has no other real fantasy relevant players, which make him attractive for bye scheduling.

Very similar to my team (16/21 the same) so I think it is a great team 😊

I am not sold on Boyd yet but will see how he goes in the trials and I might move some things around. I like the choice of Burton in the halves with Cleary. The Melbourne forwards are going to be a lottery so will have to wait and see where Loiero fits I but could be a good choice and hopefully Wilton gets the full 80 just not sure where Graham fits in that equation.

Gday all this is my team with 112k spare

    Grant
    Haas Hopgood Cheese
    Katoa Loiero
    Cleary Douiehi
    Thompson Talau
    Turbo Miller Warbrick

    Boyd E. Butcher Ford Uto
    Trindall BMM Doorey Alamoti

    For round 1 I scored 833 rank 7239, , Talau 16 and Alamoti 17 underwhelming, Uto 32 not great and E. Butcher 31 and Cheese 34.

Hopgood was a stand out along with Grant, Haas, Douiehi, Miller, Ford, Loiero. Cleary getting 61 doing nothing is good signs.

Early round 2 thoughts are Turbo has the bye and Talau was limping and late got carried off the field only leaving me with 4 backs for round 2 so I need another back. I’m thinking fuck centre roulette and maybe go E. Butcher to Bird or Holmes. Also looking at Talau to Carty potentially or Moale.

I’m open to hearing what people think would be a good option but that’s what I’m thinking currently.

Talau was cramping apparently, so might have 5 starters at the back still. Talau and Alamoti don't give me a lot of confidence though and who knows with Warbrick and Thompson.

If I were trading for a CTR this early, I think it'd have to be Bird if named LK. A few high priced legit CTRs will come down in price over the next few weeks, so I wouldn't pay 5-600k+ for one yet.

Cobbo, Talakai, Ramien and Staggs all had poor starts and I'll be keeping an eye on them.

Well what a shit round i feel like I had some bad bad luck I scored 696 rank down from around 7.3k to 26k. Cleary C 37, Cheese 11, Thompson 14, Talau 2, Ford 4, Boyd 25, it was a shambles my worst round in a long time.

Currently have 215k spare and 35 trades til round 20, team is:

    Grant
    Hopgood Cheese Haas
    Katoa Loiero
    Douiehi Trindall
    Thompson Alamoti
    Turbo Miller Warbrick

    Boyd E. Butcher Ford Cleary
    Carty BMM Doorey Talau

Will wait for TLT early thoughts are maybe E. Butcher or Boyd to Preston and Cheese to Tohu. Then maybe look at getting Walsh or Bird the week after.

I would have less concern about Butcher than Boyd at this point.

Yeah, I'm with Matt here....I'd look at moving on Boyd to Reynolds, DCE, maybe Hunt....depending on what you can afford. Hopefully we can squeeze another week or two out of Trindall. I'd be getting rid of Cheese also

Round 3: Trades made were Cheese to Preston and Talau to Bird.

I scored 815 for the round so much better than my 696 the week prior. Rank up from 26318 to 17507.

C Hopgood was a let down as was playing BMM and Warbrick plus Douiehi.

Early thoughts are Douiehi has to go I’m thinking maybe to SJ as he’s looking like a little bit better value for money than Reyno at the price point around 100k cheaper yes I know the injury risks but I don’t have much choice Reyno is also quite injury prone like SJ. E. Butcher is the other that has to go I’m thinking maybe to Wilton I think he’s gonna keep scoring well. If I get Wilton it means running Ford as third mid for now and no real cover (I hope Ford starts).

Other issues are BMM, Doorey and Warbrick re cash gen….. I got Carty, Trindall and Preston but might need to give Sloan a miss.

Team with 33 trades and 71k spare is……

    Grant
    Haas Hopgood Ford
    Katoa Loiero
    Cleary Douiehi
    Bird Alamoti
    Turbo Miller Thompson

    Boyd E. Butcher Cartwright Preston
    Trindall Doorey Warbrick BMM

looks to me like whichever edge doesnt take your fancy, be it loeito, butcher can make way, you still have depth in that position with a playable preston or carty (less secure), id still be tempted by walsh, and then wfb is set, and another decent mid would be great, i hope ford regains his place as I have him too

    Round 4 trades were:

    Douiehi to SJ
    E. Butcher to Lemuelu

I scored 951 for the round it could’ve been more if I had C Cleary and if I didn’t play Thompson. I ended up taking Warbrick 64 which put SJ out of my best 17 as that was the only way I’d get the 64, SJ got 73 but I don’t regret losing the 9 points I’d take a 64 any day. Grant C was a let down, as was Bird, Turbo and Thompson.

Team with 31 trades spare til round 20

    267k itb:

    Grant
    Haas Ford Hopgood
    Preston Katoa
    Cleary SJ
    Bird Alamoti
    Miller Turbo Warbrick

    Loiero Cartwright Lemuelu Boyd
    Doorey Thompson BMM Trindall

Early thoughts are Trindall to I. Katoa and Thompson to Teddy.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

P.S. rank went up from 18017 to 13160. So still not where I wanna be at 13k.

Ah, team looks grand mate, it’ll go your way soon, are you thinking of getting some
pods to swing it your way? I think a lot of your players will be highly owned by the people ahead of you, kiraz, walsh, etc I guess teddy prob counts as one

    Your team looks solid Rabs!!!
It's not too dissimilar to mine and I'm ranked just about the 1k mark. I have Carrigan, you have Lemuelu and that's really the only difference.

Hang in there and come up with a solid bye strategy and you'll jump plenty of spots.

I agree with everyone else Rabs, your team is solid as mate, don't panic Smile

I highly recommend the trade to get in Teddy, but I would consider switching out BMM or Doorey (dependent on TLT).
