The fact that he's taken the starting spot off Rudolf and Hamlin-Uele says a lot - he's looked much better this year than he has before.

The Sharks have been rolling teams with him and Hazelton as the starters and I don't see them changing that.

Eye test is starting to be a somewhat overused phrase but I think it applies here.

He's been starting prop all year, and sure if you think he's a new attacking weapon then go for it!

I just look at his starting prop numbers (across 4 years) and see that his 2 tries, 1 TA, 2 LB, 1 LBA have all come in the last 3 weeks. Sure, the three date rule and eye test etc. Fill your boots!

I'm more likely to save 100k and take Neame (or 200 and Moale) whose recent decent scores are pretty much all base.

Neame and Moale are both great shouts I reckon. Low BEs, good scores in decent minutes, decent JS with looming Origin.

I was bringing in JMK thjis week, but may pause and grab Neame/Moale for cash, coverage and a 40 (which of them to choose depends on team balance over byes).

Yeah, I am thinking of holding off on Nikora and going for Neame. Makes my trade of bringing in Yeo more coverage re: origin too.

Did the big Albino Lummox just play more minutes last week because Mclean was out?

Todd Payten guys, don't do it to yourselves.

Last year in games 40-50mins Neame averaged 27.... he needs 50mins +

While he played good minutes the last two weeks he also only played 35mins the week before. Will persumably get good mins around origin and I know alpha prop Jake Granville is no longer in the mix but I wouldn't be going there.

He definitely has looked better the last few weeks, and so have the Sharks. I have him in a couple draft leagues so have been watching him closely and I like what I see.

I also trust Fitzgibbon more than Payten or Hornby

He's still definite value and I wrote him off after the game last week but I'm interested again.  The concern is more BA.  There's every bloody chance come Sunday Carty starts and Matto moves to the bench.  Bar one game this year, all of the games he's come off the bench have been under 40 minutes.

He's definitely tempting as the potential for great value is there

But in a season where trades are vital, how much are you willing to risk being stuck with a 30 minute bench guy

Exactly. I still have one in May.

As uninspiring as it is, Fainu probably a better option for the byes minus 13. I think along with Koula, for me, could be a better shout, dunno. I doubt we get any Eels updates before tomorrow night too, which makes things hard.

The way I see it, the only slam dunks this week are Koula and Weekes (if you haven't got him yet). I definitely don't think Koula will average 60+ or whatever his limited game sample size average at fullback is. But he has cash to make with high upside, and he's also my favourite NRL player to watch so also a plus.

Reece Walsh is out this weekend. Just in case you thought fielding a team was too easy

It's true, but I trust Payten to play Neame more than I do any of those other middles. I'll sit on it today but may swap back to Nikora.

I love this, was reading it in Trump's voice.

"Kotoni Staggs will kick goals. Lots of goals. How many goals? Lots of goals - more than Sleepy Joe can count!

They will be good goals. The best goals. Totoni, he can kick just so many goals you know? You don't know - because there's too many. I can kick goals, but the media don't want you to hear that.

Such good goals. Kontawni and me, we just all the time kick. So many. Good goals."

In the 4 game sample I like the 49 and 57 in 40-6 and 48-6 losses more than the 77 and 110 vs Dogs and Tigers who were on the beach at the end of last year

Thinking about this some more as I'm bewildered but It's a desperate situation when Griffin Neame is being thrown up as a valid option. He is a poor man's Jaimin Jolliffe or an Aldi Flegler.

It may well be that he strings a few games together but anyone who has watched a Cowboys game will know he's a big honest toiler, prone to a dropped ball, not prone to an offload or TB who may barge over for a try from 1.5 meters out once every couple of seasons. He's a $500k FRF who is pretty much priced at $500k.

He's Aiden Tolman with half the minutes

Not totally against it but I wouldn't do it, Strange is going to be pretty useful in the coming rounds, I'd be checking your R13 cover first.

I'd swap someone like Piakura for him before Strange (only if I had no red dots to get rid of first)
