Looks like the prices were indeed correct! Riley from Talking League on the Mercato gave a shout out to MTB saying he appreciates all your hard work as we all know and appreciate.

It just blows my mind he was caught on anabolic steroids, what is this, the 1990s? Makes me think there's no way he was a regular user because there's so many athletes (allegedly) that use for entire careers (allegedly) without ever being caught taking drugs (allegedly).

In conclusion, I think he was more a naive idiot than on a serious regimen. But it's all speculation.

Read an article around the time he got caught where he talked about using it in under 15s to make rep teams. I don't think it will effect his fantasy performance more than being on the Bulldogs will

Some bloke with a podcast says they are correct and you are willing to listen but not when it's some bloke on a forum?

    I guess Podcast > Forum
Might be time for Welshy and Random to crank up the old podcast again

Funny thing is, the Mercato is Jason's baby (he's a good sort so doesn't suprise me that he'd give MTB a shout out).

FWIW (at this stage) I am not going to update the footystats site with the correct pricing. Obviously NRL want to push some traffic to their price reveals, which is perfectly fine. I don't need to be stepping on more toes this early in pre-season. It's not even Christmas yet, ya filthy animals.

And, we have test cricket starting today.

His junior club prodcued a number of rep players over just a few year period who went on to become NRL players. I'm suprised he confirmed what was whispered about because aledgedly he wasn't alone.

They've done research where something like 6-7% of HS athletes in the US have admitted to getting on the gear, wouldn't surprise if there was a non-zero number in elite levels in Aus.

There were kids on the gear 30 years ago when I was playing nothing has changed. But it puts a cloud over the other 3 blokes, may be even the coach.

Fox reporting Mam to become the third Bronco in history to be paid $1m a season on a 4 year deal worth $3m…….I’m curious to see how that particular deal is structured to support their claims. Maybe two years at $500k and two at $1m. Whatever the maths the claim is pretty tenuous.

Also if you’re bugging MTB about his prices being out a week before Christmas you need some more outside time. I can bet you a $3m contract over four years that getting the prices in Dec will have zero impact on your overall finish.

In other news, weather is nice and water temp is good at Brunswick Heads.

I thought they seemed about expected, maybe a bit cheaper.
All priced in the 30s (apart from Pryce at 29).
All with possible upside, but not without risk

You could be right, my initial reaction was based on: Are any of them actually going to start with significant minutes straight away, other than Sezer? And Sezer has a career average (60+ mins) at 33 - admittedly pre PvL

I guess will have to see what Jan/Feb brings, but it seems a bit mean

Looks like non-rookie base price is up from 240k to 250k, which is fine.
