Little bit out of the way but Fairlie Bakehouse pies are extremely good. Often on the way through to Twizel/Mt Cook there's literal lines around the corner. So not worth stopping. Trick is the petrol station often stocks them without the queues.

I'm partial to the Silverside. Big hunks of meat, bit of potato and wholegrain mustard. Good pastry with a bit of flakiness to the top.

Oh no, its that time again with no sport on for hours.

Picked up a bottle of Paradise Spiced Rum. Handing out tasters in Dans, and it seemed ok, so thought why not. Made in Kawana..

When I was in Tassie pre-covid I had two of the best pies of my life and a fanastic sausage roll and a fantastic spinach and feta roll. Top shelf bakery. I wish I had bought more to take away.

Poolish and Co. - About an hour's drive South of Hobart but lots of other stuff in the area/on the way to make a day of it. Pagan cider is just down the road.

We're going to have to go back through the last thread and aggregate all the places recommended and create a map around Australia and New Zealand based solely on pie shops.

In Cygnet? Some great produce around that area. Best cherries I've ever had in Huonville.

Just about to watch the Blues vs Crusaders.

Crusaders have an incredible record in finals matches at home - 28 wins, 0 losses. Pretty amazing.
