Re: FA Team Tracker 2023
I’ve tried getting Hynes, but there are just too many glaring weaknesses elsewhere x so I’ve tried to balance things out a bit. I’m well aware of the McInnes risk, but what do I have to lose? As far as BMM trade out. With Tapine on his bye next week, I really don’t desire whatever BMM does that round. Hoping not to use any trades next round(would have 4 saved then), and I’ll deal with Loiero in round 9.

With Teddy/Tapine back your 17 instantly looks stronger. 4 solid options on the bench. I think McInnes only has a 3/4 week shelf life as pointed out in the main thread so could you work towards getting Hynes instead. Maybe lose Loiero instead of BMM?
Did a bit a fiddling and have gone Hopgood, BMM, Loiero out for Couchman, CNK, and Hynes. It feels odd, at least to me, having a bench player in my starting 17, but if he can get 40s for the foreseeable future, then happy days. You could be right on McInnes, plus his price won’t fluctuate too much.
This allows me to see if everyone is correct on both Manlys edge defence, and whether it means more attacking involvement for Warbrick and to see exactly what can be expected from Crossland and the Mann affect.
Team with $21K
Grant
Tapine, Carrigan, Ford
Preston, Katoa
Cleary, Hynes
Alamoti, Lemuelu
Miller, Teddy, CNK
SJ, Carty, Boyd, Couchman
Warbrick, Kniko, Hands, ITT

I like those trades mate. Must feel nice seeing the beautiful Nico in your side. I would love to partner Cleary with Hynes, I just couldn't due to team balance. Good luck with him this week!

Yes I like those moves mate, I grabbed CNK last week to loop Warbrick's 12 out and it paid of well and now quite a popular trade in.
My only concern would be Couchman in the 17 but if it's short term shouldn't be too bad. Best of luck for the week. Let's go POD Hynes!

Re: FA Team Tracker 2023
I’ve fallen 7000 spots since the end of round 4, and am doing worse than I was at the end of round 2. I really have no clue how to do this anymore. I may just sideways trade the year out and yeah, whatever.

Re: FA Team Tracker 2023
My mind remains in f*ck it, whatever mode, so brought in Hello!(Bula), Bird, and Sele for Katoa, Warbrick, and ITT and vomiting out this round 9 abomination.
Boyd
De Bellend, Jackson “MT” Ford, Mann
Bird, Preston
Hynes, Cleary
Nullnull, Alamoti
Teddy, Miller, Bula
SJ, Tapine, Sele, Grant
Host(whoops), Kniko, Hands, CNK
$137K for continued team destruction in the future.

Re: FA Team Tracker 2023
I guess I’ll keep this going by mentioning two things. First, my overall rank is 4 digits instead of 5, and I’ve brought in Drinky because I need a wfb this round.

Different take on things, but keeps it interesting haha
Heading in the right direction
Just target value players with good byes and should put some dents in the teams above you
Can't promise you anything more than that, but it's something

Re: FA Team Tracker 2023
At least CNK was named, so no need to bring in Drinkwater. I really should conserve some trades, but it’s rather tempting to trade out Alamoti for Luki, moving Bird to centres. I’d like to get Horse for Preston, but that would give me too many(15) available for round 13 and then I guess, it’s a matter of who to leave out, which I would get wrong. I’ll regrettably change my mind on this Friday afternoon.

Re: FA Team Tracker 2023
For what it’s worth I’d be cutting my losses on Mann and changing him to Horse. He was close to being in my team but he’s always been a victim of versatility and has shit the bed the last couple of weeks.
He might play round 13 but for how many points?
He also has 2 byes over the next 5 weeks, seems like you have a bit of bank to make it happen.
Bula is a no brainer.
The 3rd trade could potentially just be a hold.
Would give you a better playable 17 this week and a better 13 in rd 13.
My 2 cents anyway, best of luck!

Mann seems to have been a massive mistake. I was kinda hoping for high 40s to mid 50s in 60-65 minutes, but that didn’t happen. Also, it was everyone was on Manu, I just wanted to be different, so I thought it was worth the risk. High risk, no reward. Plus, I think he has that abdominal worry or whatever and who knows if and how that will affect him going forward.
Mann to Horse I’ve thought about, but it puts a dent into replacing Alamoti. Will have to do some thinking and tinkering and see what happens.
Thanks for the feedback and for your comment on the graph.

FYI Mann has an oblique tear, the injury timeline wasn’t helpful though suggesting anywhere from a couple of days to 3-4 months.

Re: FA Team Tracker 2023

So, this is where my doldrums of a season stands. Obviously, not working with much. I can swap Ford and Host and hope he can give me 35 points. Next issue is do I play with 16 and save all three trades or do I bring in a centre? It’s the ideal damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario. I’ve been contemplating getting a Penis into me squad at Millers expense, and banking the other two trades. Iirc, I traded out Alamoti last week, ignoring the fact that I would need his 20 whatever points this round.
Thanks for reading and continued success to everyone else.

With Ford out then on a bye next week he could be traded for a centre
Give you plenty of money to get any centre you like the look off

Yeah I think this is the way imo. S Crichton or Staggs are the two I'd be looking at, both dropped a ton of cash with high upsides.

I'd agree with this. Bit of a coin toss though

I wouldn’t want to advise you on which centre to take but it seems pretty straightforward to use ford to take one, shooting blanks this early with so many trades doesn’t make sense.
I would say that once you do that you can actually move Null up to the second row spot and advance loop between Host and Luki. You’d have half an hour after Hosts plays to decide whether to keep his score but it’s a small win nonetheless to have the option.
Best of luck!
