Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
It could certainly be a stroke of genius if he keeps up his recent scoring, but I can't help but feel 471k is overpaying for Simmonson. Can you afford the extra cash up to Penisini?

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
Simmo is more to act as cover for Round 19 when I move him to WFB to get 13 players. I’ve got quite a few trades so it’s more of a luxury one and hoping he scores a few tries over the next few weeks until he gets moved on for the run home.mrbrownstone wrote:It could certainly be a stroke of genius if he keeps up his recent scoring, but I can't help but feel 471k is overpaying for Simmonson. Fair enough mate, makes sense, fingers crossed he can keep his recent scoring up.

Yeah Gutho and Simmo are a 3 week hire. 2 games at home and the other away to the Dolphins who are letting it slip a bit. If it doesn’t pay off then oh well at least I gave it a crack.mrbrownstone wrote:

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
And in the space of 7 hours I’ve chickened out haha.
Will probably stick with Turpin and NAS as in’s this week but have cooled my heels on bringing in Simmo and Guth. I’m not sure I want to bring in a CTR just for the hell of bringing in one to get 13 players. Gutho was a trade in for Perham but think I’ll just go with the guy I’ve had most of the year and hope for a good send off party.
Leaves me with 12 trades and Perham goes next week for KHaas if named.

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
Round 16 Results
786 (13) - Rank 1284
Trade Outs: Cleary, Niko, Sele
Trade Ins: NAS, Turpin, Simmonson
Was a very up and down week. Few big scores from Hoppo, Manu, Cleary and Ponga offset by some stinkers from a few players. Happy to have got the captaincy right which was probably a pretty popular one in the end. With 5 players on the bye this week it’s time to say goodbye to Perham and Oloapu, it’s quite likely that Loiero joins them as well. Has been a great servant but I don’t see him in my final team so probably a good time to move him.
Targets this week are young Haas if he manages to hold that spot this week in TLT. Hopefully they see him as upgrade on Stimson for our benefit. Also think it’s time to add some big names to my team so targeting Munster and Grant since they only miss the one game from here on out and it’s a big bye where I can manage without them. Well that’s the plan

Round 17 Trades and Team
Trade Outs: Loiero, Perham, Oloapu
Trade Ins: KHaas, Grant, Munster
Grant
Carrigan, Horse, Tohu
Hopgood, KHaas
SJ, Munster
Bird, Lemuelu
Tedesco, Manu, Ponga
Boyd, Turpin, JFH, Hynes
Simmonson, NAS, Preston, Bula
Will probably run a loop between Simmo and NAS this week for a bit of safety. Could easily be JFH in the loop but yeah not to sure, will see what happens with Origin.
Any thoughts feel free to drop them below

really like your mids, carrigan, horse and tohu should be solid as,
good trades too, things looking good.

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
Yeah hoping to making no trades next week and then seeing what gaps need filling up heading into the last big bye. Round 20 should be manageable aswell with only Horse and BirdGarethEllisismyDad wrote:

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
With getting Munster, what's your plan to get Cleary back in? Just gonna run 4 gun halves home, or sacrifice one of SJ/Munster for him when fit again?

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
Yeah was having a look at that last night. Think I could definitely look at either option with trades in the bank. I definitely don’t mind running Munster and SJ in the 14-17 if it comes down to it.mrbrownstone wrote:With getting Munster, what's your plan to get Cleary back in? Hopgood, Munster, SJ, Boyd is a decent bench?
Boyd could probably get upgraded at some point but he’s doing a damn fine job so far. Hopgood could fall off the cliff at any stage with the troops returning. Will deal with those things as they arise

Yup, I'd be perfectly happy to run home with that bench, assuming you have CTR/WFB cover sorted elsewhere (or the trades to deal with it)

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
Have been looking at trades and wondering if getting Haas is better than getting Munster if I’m shopping for guns it might as well be absolute top drawer options. Targets will then revert to Cleary and Fifita after they dropped in price a little. Would give me this team 250k and 8 trades remaining.mrbrownstone wrote:

Grant
Haas, Carrigan, Horse
Hopgood, Kaas
SJ, Boyd
Bird, Lemmy
Teddy, Manu, Ponga
Tohu, Turpin, NAS, Hynes
Simonsson, JFH, Preston, Bula
Simonsson sits as CTR/WFB cover for the rest of the year unless a juicy cashout pops up

If you're looking for top drawer guns then Yeo is also an option instead of Haas - the advantage being the he only has the R19 bye left, whereas Haas misses 19 and 25. Assuming no Origin resting shenanigans, I'd back him to outscore Haas with an extra game. On my radar this week.

Yeo is definitely on the radar and I overlooked that later bye. May aswell make life in the future easier while I’m at it haha.

Team looks in a great position mate for the run home. Agree with Brownstone about Yeo vs. Haas but I think Haas has more chance of tonning up if he grabs a try.
Simmo will be my CTR/WFB cover for the season too.

Re: 2023 Liverpool Bulldogs
Cheers for the replies lads. Looks like TLT has derailed all of the great planning that has been done over the last day or two haha
Will now need to see what other options are available. I don’t trust Jed Cartwright at all
