Re: Brandon Smith and whether he's actually worth it -

    1. Robbo stated that the goal is for Smith to play close to 80 if possible, but Turpin (Hutcho) is there to cover if needed.
    2. Smith's 60+ minute starting HOK games he averages 56.
    3. Smith is priced at 40.

No obvious edge cover on cowboys bench, is Hess locked in for 80?

He's as easy a lock in your team as Hopgood. Don't see a point in trying to anti-pod him. If he does good, and you don't have him, you're immediately behind. If he does bad, everyone has him and you can curse him together

Anyone still considering Walsh, assuming just out for 1 week? Looked great in the trial, have 2 WFBs locked in - Miller and warbrick, trying to work out the 3rd, have the cash for him, with over $100k remaining, Drinky, Turbo, or could make a change to a mid like NAS to Sutton and get Teddy. Leaves me with 3 roosters tho and likely team changes around their bye round. Thoughts?

Don’t really see any super drastic changes needed for my team after TLT but thinking of upgrading Robson to Murray

Ford would drop down to Blore and Perham to Sloan in EMG. Feel like Ford and Blore have similar risk and point potential so why spend 90k extra

Thompson injury is convincing me they convert RFM to a full time MID earlier than expected with Preston the beneficiary in early rounds.

Been said already but there are a ton of EDG value options and obviously they can't all be picked. I've stuffed them all in my team for now and have $800k left to play with still, so a few will need to be upgraded or other areas

Keen to get some opinions on the following scenarios, and my own thoughts on what could happen too:

    1. Jackson Ford

Seems to have won the edge spot on merit. Blah blah starting edges play close to 80. He looked good in trials but Curran is obviously a good player too. DPP probably makes him a better option for your team

    2. Egan Butcher

Crichton out indefinitely - have seen maybe 10 weeks? Only real competition then is Tupouniua who is coming off an ACL. PPM monster. Could become season keeper

    3. Teig Wilton

Has won the edge spot where he averages 53.5 in starts. Easy 10+ points of value here if he keeps the spot

    4. Luke Garner

Legacy average of 49.3 on the edge in full games so value is clear. Looked a bit ploddy in trials but you'd think he'd get opportunities on the Penrith edge. Hosking is on his tail though so wouldn't say his spot is 100% secure

    5. Eli Katoa and Trent Loiero

Putting these together. Both clearly have value if they retain their edge spots. Can you fit both in your team though? I'm thinking of punting one of them and leaning towards Loiero. Sims is due to return but does he play edge or in the mid rotation? Curious on thoughts here.

    6. Shawn Blore

Base price and averages 44.3 with edge starts. Bateman to return - likely to relegate Blore? You might only get a few weeks out of him but could make quick cash. Depends entirely on how soon Bateman returns you'd think. Worth a spot or no?

    7. Matt Doorey and Bryce Cartwright

Eels edges with Matto and Lane missing. Question is which one keeps their spot when these guys return? Assuming Matto plays that bench mid role again, but Lane is a starter. Cartwright has pedigree and Doorey doesn't, but reports seem to point to Doorey as the preferred option? Do you pick both? Or one? Or none?

Walsh out is annoying. Ive got Warbrick in my emg so if he scores 40+ on Thursday night then I'll pick Walsh and get Warbricks emg score. If Warbrick get a dud score then I'll have to downgrade somewhere and choose Turbo.

Walsh was going to be my first picked player. Mostly because im excited about watching him play and i do think he'll have a big year

If broncos played later in round i might do it (after seeing what an NPR score would loop in)

But im away this weekend so will probably just lock in my 21 on thursday and be done with it

That said its only one week and he probably scores 31 against panthers anyway if he played

Edit i guess Warbrick does play Thursday
