Okay so been so out of it all off-season. Been a busy bloke cat
Trying to frantically catch up on who's hot and who is not and have come up with this bunch of tossbags for my first team!

    Hodgson
    Cheese Haas Uto
    DFifi EButcher
    Cleary Doueihi
    HSS Alamoti
    TMM Turbo Ponga

    Hopgood EKatoa Trindall Miller
    IKatoa I.Thompson Doorey Warbrick

49K ITB. Way too short on mids, but can't seem to find any who aren't at a gun price or don't have to many question marks around them

8 - Bromwich - Old, Can't play big minutes anymore
9 - JMK - does he play 80? Maybe later in the year
10 - Wallace - averaged about 42 minutes last year at prop and don't see that changing much
    11 - Kaufusi - can play 80
    12 - KBrom - see above
13 - Gilbert - I reckon he sees around 60 minutes, possibly more, plays a bit of a Jurbo type game but can break more tackles

14 - Herman - Not a big minute guy off the bench, more of a prop these days. Probably first cab off the rank for Jesse.
15 - Nicholls - Another who doesn't notably take a lot of minutes off the bench. My guess would be that he probably replaces Wallace not long after Jesse comes off
16 - Stone - Dabbled in some Lock in his time at the Eels, I do remember he came through more as a hooker though. Possibly replaces Gilbert around the middle of the game and then maybe give JMK a break when Gilbert comes back on before JMK finishes out the last 15 minutes.
17 - Donoghoe - Listed as a centre so no clue here? HIA backup for the back line?

Donoghoe will be the hooker/utility back up - played hooker in trials and played in the halves for knights reggies

stone will be playing in the middle

With the addition of Foran, Boyd there to feed him as well with AJ again, and a contract year.. gut feel is screaming get him in

Got him as a POD had to lose Frizell

The way I see it is this - Carrigan will do well but he won't burn you as a non-owner the way Fifita can, while Fifita can very easily drop two 100s in the first 2 rounds up against the Tigers and Dragons and then you're screwed.

This game I think he played edge after Keighran went down and (I think) Sitili went to CTR
    https://www.footystatistics.com/matches.php?m=1112370&year=2021

Which are probably good enough stats to go for. But I have a few concerns and wondering if I can spend that money on someone better

I've been trying to find the cash to go from Katoa/Garner to Egan Butcher but looks like he will be the one that got away.

I think he is an incredible talent and good enough that he will hold Tupouinua out of the spot. Will be a smokey for origin conversation (similar to Curran last year)

How does that translate to fantasy? I think his game actually mirrors Crichton pretty closely. Good work rate in defense, good line runner and seems capable of offloads. Not sure he has the sideways slapsies run in his arsenal so might be looking at a few points lower. I don't see why he can't go to 50 average over the first 10 weeks

I've put zero thought into this new bye system but I don't quite understand not picking a value player that looks like they will score well and make money just because of a bye week.  I know it's getting 17 on the park, but a lot can happen before then, and trades are there for a reason.  Plus, all players are going to miss a week regardless who you pick.

Agree with this. I think a lot are worrying too much about bye schedule and not enough about who is going to score the most points. I'm currently 1 mid short in round 3 due to byes and not worried in the slightest because I believe everyone else is good value

Tossing up between Loiero, Sutton, and Stefano for the last scoring spot in the 17 - who you got?

Thanks for the help guys! Im locking in this team for round 1.

    Grant
    Hopgood Cheese Tapine
    Eutcher Garner
    Cleary Doueihi
    Alamoti HSS
    Miller Turbo Perham

    Boyd EKatoa Uto Ford
IKatoa PARTY Warbrick Sloan 83K ITB

Yes I know i have no Centre cover and no Im not bringing in a dud centre for my emg just to have cover. 1) I already have a dud in Sloan and 2) Baring injury Alamoti and HSS should be serviceable through the first 7 rounds before i have to make a trade.

Ryan Sutton if you think he'll get enough mins at the Dogs

Daniel Saifiti if you think he can get his mojo back

Mark Nicholls or Jarrod Wallace if you don't mind a plodder - they both can plod their way to 100k in price rises though.
