eh. Maybe a few points underpriced, but plays Origin, isn't cheap, and hasn't shown the type of play style that ups the scoring under the new rules.

And as his points come from tackles I'm not sure Manly doing better (which I also don't buy) will help him much.

Not a pick that would ruin a season, sure. But I would much rather Murray / Twal / Tauk / Saifiti in the same price bracker.

Fair call. I think it’s the consistent 80 minutes that does it for me haha.

Plus his combo with his brother could increase his points. Also he his tackling technique could cause a few loose carries.

A safe 80 minute option with McInness out for the year and Taumalolo less minutes. Opinions?

    Very boring MS style pick

Scoring is all meat and potatoes tackles and metres

Tier below captaincy and price shouldn't fluctuate too much so probably a no from me to start the season

Just watching the 2015 GF again. I had forgotten how many times Dick Fingers, aka Kane Linnet tried to lose it for us. Obviously the drop over the try line is imprinted, the juggle with a minute to go, almost choked on my gin!

I think a half heavy strategy could be as viable as the old all gun hooker bench play a few years back. Bench depth might be stretched but a few DPP cashies and you’re sweet

EDIT: I quoted the wrong MS post lol. Not even drinking

I was reading on a sc forum that Jurbo's hit ups have reduced over the last couple of years & a lot of the time he's just a link to DCE so he doesn't run the ball to the line so you're probably just relying on tackles as he has no attacking threat.

I seem to get better quality picks elsewhere when my starting hooker is J. Brailey rather than going with a gun hooker. If you go with a gun hooker when you look for good cheapish middle or edge the options now are limited mainly because Gilbert & CHN are gone.

he still averaged more last year than in 2019 (but perhaps not by as much as the 6-again rules might otherwise have boosted him)

He's still a solid mid 50s player. Very consistent too with so many scores between 54 and 56. No value there but unlikely to drop cash either. But doesn't score high enough to be a captaincy option so I wouldn't start the season with him.

J trbo scoring between 55 and 57 is one of the only certainties in fantasy. I mean, that was the joke last season, and he finished with an avg of 55.7

I'm running a current draft of:
    Grant / JBrailey / Liddle
    Watson / Tino / LAM / BMM
    DFifi / Davey / Blore / Riki
    Cleary (c) / Brooks / Lam
    Bird / Roberts / Hopo
    Teddy / Turbo / Laurie / Simonsson
    $50k ITB

Like you, I'm still not sold on Tino, but have picked him as a defensive move based on popularity.
Hopo came in for Averillo, while I had looked at Moylan as cover.
I notice there's not too much love for Brooks on here, it's just a gut call, but I think he'll Tate his game to the next level now the team is his to run.
If his Kick metres, assists etc. he could up his average to 55, 15+ will do me.

Obviously BMM, Blore etc. are all TL dependent.

There has been a couple of posters I think concerned Brooks won’t get as many kick metres as we think and that he will share the kicking duties with Doueihi....

He only needs 100 KM extra really to be 9-10 points underpriced. 330 KM average seems pretty likely

He’s already underpriced due to interchange games

Doueihi kicked quite a bit from FB last year in any case. Not having Marshall there and not playing half time on the interchange for five games will surely give Brooks a boost. If he gets back to anything like 2019, he is well undervalued.

South Sydney’s star recruit Jai Arrow has suffered an injury setback as coach Wayne Bennett declared NSW Origin gun Cameron Murray had won the race for the Rabbitohs’ No. 13 jersey.

Arrow has missed three weeks of pre-season training at his new club after suffering a hamstring strain.

The former Gold Coast Titans gun is back in training now, but is out of the running for his favoured position at Redfern.

After suffering a hamstring injury in Game One of last November’s State of Origin series, Murray is on track to start the 2021 NRL season at lock for South Sydney.

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart says Jarrod Croker is ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery and is hopeful of having his captain on deck for round one.

So which is Murray's best fantasy position, edge or lock?

Brooks may turn out to be a good pick but he wont be in my team.

Tbh id almost rather pick Douehi if i had to make a choice between the two (and douehi played rnd 1)

Tino + Munster or Crichton + best option under about 450k - probably Ford/Egan/BMM?

Biggest thing I noticed last year was the significant increase in general play kick metres. Halves that dominate kicking seem to be a major beneficiary of the rule change

    Spoiler:

Because of this I'm loading up. I'd like to find room for CHT and would be running SJ if he was fit
