Poasa Faamausili to play the Storm twice in a row, poor fella.

Snatchpato wrote:Per my current team that I posted:With Averillo out (one round I presume) is it worth swapping Will Hopoate for a a cheap back option either in Niu/Talau, or aim to get a cheaper but decent POD in Josh Morris? I know he's a bit up and down, and the Roosters are playing the Storm this week, however I really feel like I want a reliable CTR that can go well (plus he also has WFB coverage). I'm kinda sick of constantly trading in players I think will go well, only for them to be out of the team the next week (Erin Clark/Averillo/Scott Sorensen/Billy Magoulias to name a few). Kinda concerned that a Talau/Niu pickup might be yet another burned trade at this point, especially Niu.
- Here:
I suppose the benefit of cashing out Hopoate for Niu is that it banks me 454k, and I can use that cash in a round or two to upgrade Ray Stone, Curtis Sironen, JTB, or Lowe to a decent FRF/2RF keeper.
Anyone got good/bad input on the idea of brining in JMoz? FWIW I would have $227k ITB after a Hopoate -> Morris trade. I also have zero HLF coverage with Erin Clark out of the 17 for the Titans, so I was considering a Hopoate -> Hughes upgrade. I know he's not stellar, and likely won't go amazing especially when Munster returns, however he does give me much needed WFB/HLF cover, which as you can see from my team I'm sorely lacking.
Again, thanks for all the feedback. You guys are a very welcoming forum and once I get my bearings with this game a little I'll be hoping to give more than just taking!
I'd rather have Niu and $200k than J Morris, although I understand your point about not wanting someone who might be dropped shortly.
For that price I'd back Esan Marsters to outscore Morris over the rest of the season. He had a shocking -5 a few weeks ago but is normally reliably going to get 30+
If you've got a bank roll, ARey and pearce are good upgrades for half.
If you have patience Mitchell Moses for the back half of the year is also good.

Considering Katoa + Drinkwater - Ponga + Niu. 28K ITB.
The risk is no halves cover while holding Moses. Can then go either JTB - Butcher or Leilua - Taupau the following week depending on who looks promising. Potentially both.
For this week, would leave me with
Koro
Hass JTB
Lolo Jurbo Leilua
Fogarty Luai
Mitchell Lomax
Teddy Ponga Pap
Grant
Friend
Carrigan
Nui/HTF loop
Paix
Wiliame
Moses
Will hold Paix until a decent cow comes along.

Moses one of the few players in the game I’d be wary on waiting too long for even with a monster BE. Stinky stays until Moses returns for me

Thoughts on Reece Robson? Playing 80 he's going great and I don't think Granville is worth worrying about since he sucks.
I'll have more Hookers in my team than the country of Amsterdam but for a value buy I'm highly considering it.

Does he at least get shifted to wing? Opacic out and ONeil to CTR
Well before Val went down, the back five were:
1. Holmes
2. Feldt
3. O'Neill
4. Marsters
5. HTF
So hopefully it just goes back to that.

Butcher first game against the Storm in a game where they are underdogs. Would love to wait a couple weeks on him, maybe come down a little more and a straight swap with Rudolf if/once he shows he has got it. Can't afford to be bringing in mid rangers who may fail. Has 3 games starting lock for scores of 71, 45 and 43...

3 games at lock. minutes are 68, 50, 50. The game he played 68 minutes was against Bulldogs. I think his minutes will be closer to 50 than they are 68.

Some on about getting him a game or two after his return for his price to drop further because of large BE. I’m saying it’s a risk missing a 80 for the sake of saving some $$$Revraiser wrote:

I think he means those who are either selling and re-buying or looking to buy later on... Warning them not to wait too long has he can go large whenever
