With Averillo out (one round I presume) is it worth swapping Will Hopoate for a a cheap back option either in Niu/Talau, or aim to get a cheaper but decent POD in Josh Morris? I know he's a bit up and down, and the Roosters are playing the Storm this week, however I really feel like I want a reliable CTR that can go well (plus he also has WFB coverage). I'm kinda sick of constantly trading in players I think will go well, only for them to be out of the team the next week (Erin Clark/Averillo/Scott Sorensen/Billy Magoulias to name a few). Kinda concerned that a Talau/Niu pickup might be yet another burned trade at this point, especially Niu.

I suppose the benefit of cashing out Hopoate for Niu is that it banks me 454k, and I can use that cash in a round or two to upgrade Ray Stone, Curtis Sironen, JTB, or Lowe to a decent FRF/2RF keeper.

Anyone got good/bad input on the idea of brining in JMoz? FWIW I would have $227k ITB after a Hopoate -> Morris trade. I also have zero HLF coverage with Erin Clark out of the 17 for the Titans, so I was considering a Hopoate -> Hughes upgrade. I know he's not stellar, and likely won't go amazing especially when Munster returns, however he does give me much needed WFB/HLF cover, which as you can see from my team I'm sorely lacking.

Again, thanks for all the feedback. You guys are a very welcoming forum and once I get my bearings with this game a little I'll be hoping to give more than just taking!

I doubt they'll do the backline shuffle again Burns will come on for injury or if Wayne hooks one of AJ Roberts or Gagai. Or maybe comes on late to sniff around the middle

I need a CTR thoughts on these (76k before trades):

(1) Moses + Katoa to DCE + Lomax (or Flanagan + Sione)
(2) Katoa + Rudolf to Robson + Talau
(3) Katoa + Paix to Butcher + Talau
(4) Katoa + Paix to Robson + Niu

I've gone for (2) temporarily

Paix > Niu and JTB > Butcher is fucking tempting but Liu scares me

Horse - Butcher
Moses - Cleary

I think I'm set. I think Butcher will keep the spot and make it his own.

Lucy is someone who I will look at moving on once I complete my WFB. Next week Teddy is essential, so 2 of Luai/Rudolf/Drinkwater/HTF will become cow and Teddy.

The week after I will then look at bringing in a gun FRF at a discount (Taupau/Thompson/Other) using another two players, leaving me 9 trades.

I will then be able to relax for a while, barring injury, before I look at my Lucy’s, Carrigans, other cows to just beef up my other stocks. (Hopefully bring in Moses at a massive discount later for HLF cover)

After R10 I will have:

Grant
Haas GUN
Angus Matto Lolo
Cleary DCE
Talau Lomax
Teddy Ponga Pappy

Koro Lucy Carrigan

17-21 = Luai/Rudolf/Drinkwater/HTF/Farnworth/Crichton/Niu/Other cow I bring in

Looking at that line-up, its a very real possibility. It would be tough on him given the tough job he's had the past few weeks as well as the fact that they expect him to have a big future at the club.
