They will have to ask for a 2nd tier salary cap exemption

The way things are going for the Eels Foran will be the only guy busted and life banned for match fixing at Manly. Would free up a 1mil in the salary cap but by then we will have released mid year Paulo/Peats/Scott/Gordon anyway

Semi's brother (...in-law? cousin?) just came out and said he was off to rah-rah, after discussing it with his family.

That was just a pop-up story on one of my phone apps tracking NRL stories, but if it were true.... why the HELL does Parramatta make a statement just prior saying "it's all good maaaate"??

Sure - you look a little out of touch, or perhaps like you're hiding something by NOT making a statement, but at the end of the day, people are going to write those stories regardless of an official denial. So, why in hell would you put yourself in a position to look like massive clueless idiots if it does come out a few days later that he IS leaving?

Poor Parra. It was a little bit fun to watch them get bitch slapped over the salary cap (and who doesn't love a little bit of moral high-ground schadenfreude), but it's getting to the point where I'm starting to feel sorry for them. And that just ain't fun any more

A lot of it could have to do with the fact the NRL contracts have a clause they can't play ruggers in between seasons. So similar to the way how successfully they rorted TPA's and the salary cap they are now trying to rort NRL contracts ????

Brown has stamped him never to play again. He's banned from training, gym sessions the lot. Everything he does, he does with the ressies.
