and just to cite the source on the reaction time things: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4456887/

your quote said it, it comes down to instinct, how many times has a batter practiced hitting a pitch vs how many times has a rugby league player practiced pulling out of a tackle?

If baseball player were able to accurately and effectively react to pitches in the time given, they wouldn't deem hitting the ball 40% of the time as 'batting excellence'

    I liked Parcell.

Roosters on fire this year. We might hit form during the year, but I wouldn't bet the house on it. We've got the talent to go on a red hot streak, but don't really look like.

So if you've made vids and edited .gifs you'll know you can view each frame of the video down to the .1 of a second. So using both videos from both threads, assuming they are at game speed which they appear to be and pulling them "apart" going on the moment the ball leaves the attacking players hands to when the defender makes contact.... SHOCKINGLY... They are exactly the same .4 of a second from when McGuire taps it on to when he gets hit, .4 of a second from when Cronk releases the ball to when he gets hit. One hit didn't warrant a penalty let alone a mention at the judiciary, one hit was a penalty with people calling for a sin bin and now a potential 3 week ban.

Am I saying there's some bias between the two players apparent safety, the sub, the judiciary, the commentary, the refs..... Fuckin nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Probably fair enough that he sits for the lateness... but its a good comparison on the different reaction between the 2 hits from the likes of Fittler and Joey. But Joey, who mentors half the halves in the league surely wouldnt have a conflict of interest in keeping halfbacks a protected species, would he?

Unsurprising though for you to lap up what your idol spouts without any logical thought process.

AFL players cop 100 of these per game and you don't hear half the sooking of the NRL commentators.

JT was talking about it just as much if not more than Johns.
He gets hit well and truely after he passes it. In the back. Couldnt be anything else other than a dog shot.

if the cheap shot shit is about getting Cronk in the back, well then the halves have a license to run backwards and receive penalties, because Pangai didn't just come out of no-where and blind-side him, Cronk ran the ball at the line that Pangai was in, then forgot one of the basic rules taught in juniors (ie. don't turn your back on the defense) and got whacked for his mistake.
    amazing.... lol

so its cronk's fault he got dog shotted in the back after he passed the ball, in what is also potentially a shoulder charge lol...
Amazing! You blokes will say anything to protect your bronco players. I suppose the chicks provoked lodge into going on a rampage now too?

Oh, ffs. It's not a dog shot. It was marginally late, and might be worthy of a week on the sidelines. 2 is a bit harsh, but whatever - it's not a ridiculous punishment. Probably more for the shoulder charge-like tackle than the lateness.

This "dog shot" BS is just that. Fake hysteria. Bloke ran to the line and got crunched. That's the risk you take being courageous! Makes you look like a hero, but hurts more in the lockers post-game.

I basically take your view and decrease it by two factors when the Broncos are involved. Cheap shot becomes unnecessary, becomes normal, if you follow.

If you'd said "it was unnecessary", I'd have interpreted it as "good tackle, well deserved".

    Without fail.

Korbin, about 30 mins into the game.
Didnt even have to get to the end of the first half.

Hopefully some hard truths hit home.

Love that he dropped the 'winners' line. They've won nothing.

Fucking hurts to see that boyd gif with him watching the try being scored. Cunt pulls his arms away from the man with the ball.

they will come good, the same thing happened with souths last year. The players just need time to buy in with Seibold. He might need to punt a couple of blokes who are stuck in their ways though

No Worries seems to be barking up the wrong tree. No Worries didn't know that Bronco's supporters were as spineless as their fullback. Don't worry No Worries, here's a little song to get you through.

    Every time Wayne goes away"
