Solid win v an understrength Cowboys and a good response after last week. by the Broncos last night, a good bounce back with FAC clearly making a big difference to their fortunes. Form line is interesting. Cows sneak past Sharks, Dragons thumps Broncos, Broncos and a goal post hold on against Cows, Dragons storm back to beat Sharks.

I think the big improvers of the 4 will be the Cows when they get their first choice 1 and 6 back. All the others basically at full strength and all should be top 8 and possibly threaten Top 4 so will be interesting to see how the line through these four teams translates against others in the comp.

They certainly contained big JT well.
Very lucky to get away with that win though, never seen a post so solidly deny a try before lol. The Glenn try was clearly a forward pass too, but you do need good calls to win close games and they got one.

Morgan and Coote prob get the cows home in that game but nonetheless a good win against the comp fav.

TPJ is really good. Lodge started out with a shocker but came good with a couple of decent plays. Milf back to running really helped too.

I do think that switching him and boyd around would do wonders for the team, Milfs best asset is his running which he doesnt get to utilise enough at 6 IMO, and boyds best asset is his ball playing, looks like he can hardly run at the moment.

More importantly, did they find Jordan Kahus teeth yet, dam that was nasty

there is no football game that is continuously worth every cent i pay to get down to Brisbane for than the derby game, it was a much better performance, and i think much more indicative of what we can do moving forward, especially the forward pack, put in that effort every week and there will be no more questions, we were supposed to get monstered and turned out TPJ was the best forward on the park by a long margin, and if Lodge wasn't the 2nd best, then he was certainly in the conversation, can't be understated how much Macca playing 80 meant to us too, he was instrumental, especially with that totally intentional magnificently placed bomb that tricked all 46,000+ people at the stadium into thinking it would end up in the grandstand

Still not sold on Boyd at the back, had some great moments, and bunch of bad ones, but what stuck out to me was if we have '15/'16 Boyd last night, the Cowboys don't score those first 8 points, piss poor effort to stand almost directly in front of McLean and just let him reach out and plant the ball down, then there was a repeat set forced before the penalty goal when he was in a position to attack the ball at the goal-line and get us out into the field of play but he let it roll past to Isaako who got bundled dead.

plenty spoken about decisions that helped the Broncos, and of course none given about the multiple JT shoulder charges not called, or how Martin only had eyes for playing at the ball during the Pangai no-try, constituting a strip, which considering the ball went dead, meant it should've been a Cowboys drop-out instead of a Cowboys re-start.

This year is starting to bring on a real 'us vs the world' vibe and no-one plays that part better than Bennett, get these boys playing with a chip on their shoulder all season and teams will be scared to play us.

You then proceed to never comment on the game not stopping when other players get KO, because none of the other times have ever resulted in a bronco advantage. The game should have been stopped when Kahu got KO, you are quiet on that tho coz the broncos scored a minute later.
