Just check how many players on byes each week. Especially R27 with Eels plus potential Panthers rests

Yeah have considered that in all my moves. Have 2 from any given club and always backup from another club in same position. Could have cashed out VTW, but liked the idea of a passable score from Avo over the extra $$.

    Hors with the extra game?

I like that, Big Red should be fresh and ready to go after his post-Origin rest.

Wilton is out for the season (not ACL) if that impacts anyone's trade options

Considering pivoting slightly and getting Garrick in the mix. I'm letting Drinky go for reasons discussed a fair bit in previous threads I think I would like a stronger WFB candidate than Bula (who has done a quality job this season)

In order to do that and get the guys I want with least amount of trades, I might need an alternative option to Haas

Yeah lock in Garrick if you can, Manly's draw is really nice after this week, with 4/6 good matchups (Dragons Roosters Panthers Warriors Bulldogs Tigers) and the centre dual is the cherry on the top.

So it becomes Horse and Garrick vs Haas and Bula? I like Garrick and Horse there for sure

Caught up on 10 pages, stuck in the Baltics with limited signal, off home today so digesting all or the brainstorming has been helpful!

I’ve saved a lot of bank up over the last few weeks and dropped down to 350, but feel it could be worth it with a strong run home.

    I’m looking at doing:
    Boyd - Grant
    VTW - Garrick
    Tohu - Haas

This gives me the below team with 5 trades left and 242k ITB.

    Grant
    Horse Haas JDB
    Dfifi Bateman
    SJ Hynes
    Manu Garrick
    Teddy Drinky Bula

    Moses ipap ponga graham(loop)
    NAS Matto Hands Avo

I feel the 3 trades really strengthens the team up and am contemplating a fourth trade on NAS to either Cleary or Murray. Both are players I want in my team but think waiting a week on Cleary is my preference. NAS to Murray however is mighty tempting this week as I also believe he’s in for a big minute game and has huge importance to their run home.

Matto or Moses will be the player to make way to Cleary once ready. Latrell and Walsh on the menu for Bula should he not continue his incredible form.

Long post - sorry. Brain dumping.

    Questions for the brainstrust:

Should I save the third trade of Tohu to Haas and should I pull the trigger on the 4th trade, if so who to?
Any other pointers gratefully welcomed whilst I take the 40 hour journey back home to NZ!

Think you might of sold me this that one line mate. In the vacuum that's essentially it.
Pending BEs I could still get Haas but its tight and that 37K extra could scupper my plans, plus the extra game for Hors swinging me that way anyway

    Current trades would be

    Drinky/Bula/Harris/Matto for Garrick/Hors/Cleary/Yeo

    Next week Ming - Murray..

With current BEs, might be safer to get Murray this week and Yeo next.

Latrell looks very tasty from next week

Run home of Tigers, Sharks, Dragons, Knights, Roosters, all terrible defences

Drinkwater to him next week might be something I look at. Not sure the cash from it will be enough to fund an upgrade elsewhere though so don't think it will be the best use of a trade. Should be a great POD for anyone able to get him but the bye isn't ideal either if you get Murray too.

If you think Drinkwater has peaked, and want a trade out, Latrell currently cheaper. And based on BEs, gap could well widen this week
