not out of the question that he might kick. I was looking for some confirmation either way from training

I'm seeing a few teams with Savage in them, what's the appeal there. is the expectation 40+ scoring?

Priced at 31, he averages 37 at fullback. Plus there are some pre-season photos of him looking jacked. That's the same thing as training the house down.

    Schoupp? or Tanah Boyd?

I think Boyd will but I haven’t heard anything official at all.

G'day all! Thought I better login and start getting the ball rolling with some fantasy chat seeing it's first week of trials this weekend.

Hope all had a great break over the Xmas period and are having a great start to the year.

Not fantasy related but the Bulldogs social media team are currently doing some amazing work on their youtube channel; releasing high quality and insightful weekly videos of what the players are getting up to in the pre-season. Worth a watch if you have some spare time.

Predicted Eels starting side Round 1 from someone who goes to training to watch most days

Dice up between whether it is Momoisea and Doorey starting at EDG apparently.. Momoisea probably is the best outcome fantasy wise in terms of scoring but lets see?

    230k players potentially good picks:
    Matamua - Tigers
    Khan-pereira - Titans
    Alomati - Bulldogs
    Te Whare - Dolphins

Slim pickings, TLT dependant and seeming like good chance that none of them are good picks by round 1

    250k potential good picks:
    Blore - Tigers
    Doorey - Eels
    Moale - Rabbitohs
    Talau - Tigers
    Sloan - Dragons
    Spry - Titans

Some more might come around at TLT but at the moment no seemingly must haves or your rookies that seem destined to be massive cash cows from the get go like in past years
AKP seems a strange choice. He’s only likely to get three games so what are you planning to do with him after that?

So neither likely to play 80 with one starting and the other on the bench?

From the herald talking trials. Explains joffas absence in training.

Pole, who has already been extended through until the end of 2025, has the chance to nail down the starting No. 13 jersey come round one, especially if Joe Ofahengaue fails to overcome a niggling calf injury.

Starting hedges always play big limits or something like that

News about my Rabbitohs we have suffered a big blow it’s not out yet officially from the club but someone who is on the club board had the mail and it’s that Siliva Havili has a longer term foot injury he’s expected to be out about 5 months. He can also be seen in an Insta post next to Taane Milne in a moon boot and on crutches.

Im training the house down by doing the following 2 things.

    1. Not listening to any posts yet about who is training the house down.
    2. Not picking multiple iterations of my side well before it gets shot to shit by TLT.

These are the 2 most important moves in early Feb imo to beat the FOMO.

    The way I see it

    Tatola 50mins
    Cook 70-75mins
    Sele 35mins
    Keaon 80mins
    Arrow 55-60mins
Murray 65mins (70 in very tight big games)

    Ta’affe 5-10mins
    Host 45-50mins
    Tom 40-45mins
    Moale 20-25mins

That’s how I think it plays out

Surely it's Boyd? Kicked well last year when Isaako was out. Schoupp has been behind not only Burton, but Flanagan, Wakeham and Avo.

That sounds good in theory, but in reality Schoupp was only ever behind Burton. None of the others kicked any goals in any of the games Schoupp played.

Of the NRL teams primary goal kickers, I'd seen Boyd at 82% (Only Reynolds and Cleary had a higher percentage).
In contrast Burton (preferred over Schoupp) was at 73% with only Meaney and Sam Walker having lower percentages.

Schoupp seems a fair back up kicker, but probably unlikely that he'd displace an 80%+ kicker

Young Lachlan Ilias not getting much love around these parts, 80 minute half at bargain basement price, wont set the world on fire but should turn in a profit.

You would select him with a 32 average at halfback in full games (where he wasn't hooked, scoring -3), over Boyd who is also a really handy dual HOK for $50k more, average 47?

2 guys that most jumped on last season but confirmed they will never be fantasy relevant are Ilias and Taaffe. Should be on everyone's never again list.
