Good weekend for me. 3 from 4 (of my posted bets) + the arbitrage profits. For some reason I forgot to post my fifth bet, a total points bet on the Red Sunwolves game. That ended up a winner as well easily going over 55.5 points.

Anybody hear about the punter who lost 70k+ in a couple of hours. Wowzers.

Let's put it into perspective in a chronological order (based on the DUI Queen's story)

While I was in rehab I got a mate to drop 2 bets.

Bet 1: $20K @ $1.60 = $32K
Bet 2: $30K @ $6 - $180K

So I get out of rehab and my $50K is $212K
I get some mates around to celebrate getting out of rehab and I lose $75K in 2 hours and call it quits.
So I'm $82K up. More than most people make in a year.

But no the fucking drunk grub wrote the story in reverse. I lost more than most people make in a year in 2 hours implying rehab has done nothing and by the way someone else made a couple of bets on my account.

Good post mate. Yup, some perspective is what is needed, although you must always consider what happened b4 that too right. Who knows huh. Why/how was his betting record made public though. Is that legal? I'd be gutted if someone made my betting record public!

It does seem though that there must be some concerns about that type of betting! Thats a lot of $ resting on a dog....

What kind of rehab was it? For gambling?

I assume it was a metal health clinic given what was reported, but I don't know for sure.

The trouble is, if you have serious mental health concerns, gambling will not help, in fact for many it will feel like a temporary release from all the pressure, the same as alcohol, drugs etc. Might feel good for the time you are doing it, but makes things a whole lot worse after.

It all sounds quite worrying.

It will not help though that all these personal details are getting to the media somehow. Like how on earth are gambling records being made public?

I'm old enough to remember a Jordan vegas binge getting similar focus. He's come back was epic. "I I lost $10M which is the same as you dropping $1000. It's all relative." He wasn't being rude or pretentious it was just honest.
