Best one I've found is FPL blackbox which is free. They do podcast and video

I don't understand the fascination with Archer in the template team. I guess he's just there because he's cheap and lets you get 2 better strikers, but wouldn't want to rely on him at all

I've currently got Archer with no expectation he plays at all. Cheapest possible player but not as heavily selected as Greenwood so unlikely to be mass traded out. I've got good options for 1st and 2nd bench + 5 subs means I shouldn't need him at any time in the first 6 weeks

OK this is probably my final draft before the deadline:

    Sanchez

    TAA, Robbo, James, Cancelo, Perisic
    Salah, Matrinelli, Neto
    Kane, Jesus

    (Ward, Bailey, Andreas, Archer)

5-3-2 and Bailey on the bench if I want to switch to 4-4-2 some game weeks

I like it but Bailey on the bench would personally give me a bit of a benching headache each week. I'd want to start him week 1 against Bournemouth and then you'd never bench any of those defenders over him so it would probably have to be Neto

There's been some speculation over Perisic's minutes for GW1 after Conte made some comments about fitness levels, so I'll probably play Bailey over him for this round (switch to 4-4-2)

On Perisic, Conte said: “It's normal after a serious injury to be struggling a bit to come back in the best physical condition. Honestly, I'm surprised because he reduced his time to recover. We are really happy.

“At the same time we are not worried but we have to pay a bit of attention to give him the right time to adapt himself to recover 100 percent after his injury.“.

Yeah I've stayed away from him entirely as too much uncertainty on his fitness to begin with.

Martial is now out for the first game... Makes Rashford more appealing..

I like it for those very reasons, NRLF is pretty all encompassing while EPL feels like a bit of light relief.

I admit you do need a bit of incentive...mine is that I like to beat my brother in law & a few of my soccer mates in a mini comp which I can usually do even if I miss a few deadlines.

Ur just locking it in for me haha

My finalish team before deadline. Basically template but instead of 8m MID and Jesus, starting with KDB

    Ward (Iversen)
    TAA/Robbo/Cancelo/Perisic/Neco
    Salah/KDB/Martinelli/Bailey (Andreas)
    Haaland (4.5, 4.5)

Thought I’d join the fun for once.

    Mendy, (Ward)
    TAA, James, Perisic, (Walker, Neco)
    Salah, Diaz, Martinelli, Coutinho, Bailey
    Kane, Jesus, (Greenwood)

    Seems fairly balanced

Yeah they are competing for the starting spot. Ward didn't play any preseason so there's a small chance Iverson starts first game.

I'm warming up to running them both as I did end up finding a good set up for using the savings. Leicester defence is not good but for that cheap they'll do the job. The risk is that Leicester do actually go and get a new keeper and then you have to use two transfers just to change your keeper, whereas you basically never want to burn a transfer on your keeper.

My brother-in-law is actually good at soccer but somehow never played FPL before. I just gave him a few pointers, then showed him my team so may as well show you guys. Still not settled:

    Raya Ward
    TAA James Walker Doherty Patterson
    Salah Diaz Foden Martinelli Bailey
    Kane Jesus Greenwood

I did just basically try to convince you of the opposite position by running your argument back at you Very Happy

Anyway, I love staying up until obnoxious o'clock watching football so the FPL is secondary for me

For those new, you can't reverse trades either. Once you confirm transfers, it's done. So if you try and make early transfers for price rises and your player gets injured, you're screwed

    affraid affraid affraid
It kind of takes the pressure off, once the deadline hit that's it ...you are stuck with your squad.
Putting a team together was easier than expected, just follow the crowd and add a bit of your own flavour.
I guess the hard part is to make the right transfers, maximize fixtures, pick the in-form players, play your chips at the right time...
    and tons of luck
