    Walker Alvaro Niu Croker 248k

No need to trade right? I do like trading though so any suggestions appreciated Very Happy

Only Croker if something pops up. I'd be tempted to turn Welch into a gun too but not necessary.

With some luck Haas could fall while SST only needs one good score to close that gap

At worst nothing changes then pay the 250k or swap for a rd13 player

This is my current thought with SST

    Still averaging at starting price

Just needing some reassurance, but no need to trade this week right??

    Turpin
    ACrich, Tino, Watson
    Fifita, Riki
    Cleary, Milf,
    Roberts, Niu
    Teddy, Laurie, Pap

    Brailey, Egan, Liddle, Schuster
    Walker, Moylan, Stefano, Leniu

Only thing I am concerned about is lack of cash ITB at 43k, but suppose this can be built up when the above cows are milked?

Tough choosing 2 from Liddle, SOS, Schuster. Initial thinking is to go with Liddle and SOS because they don't play for the worst team in the NRL

GreenMachine wrote:We are all just living in MS’ world, but here is the alternate reality...

    Pre Season

Get excited, build 613 drafts, shifting players in based on trial highlights.
Lock in the fastest guy at Nines.
Have grand plans around stashing in 18-21 your favourite talent for this season regardless of team lists, instead buying him in round 4, when 80k more expensive.
Use bye planner and ensure you have all the best brits and Kiwis and have a core of R13 players.
Tinker with about 40 different middies that are at least 10pts under priced but then write posts to ask others how many >750k mega guns they have, adjusting your team until you win.
Review first team lists set and drop more than half your squad and ensure you have people like Simonsson and Averillo.
Get rid of your favourite stash player.
Drop the fast guy from nines before he is named in round 2 or 3.
Throw out the window any bye plans, getting all the FOMO origin stars, as you can deal with all that later.
Panic buy and captain someone in the first match of the season because you’ve had 4 tins.

    Pre-Origin

Max trade for 8-10 weeks convincing self that fixing your team early is key.
Drop any and all players you actually didn’t like much, irrationally at the first sub 60 score.
Drop that guy you got in for the first match
    Cycle through 11 different centres
Get that guy you dropped back after he scores 75, because others were right, and what’s one trade.
Freak out closer to origin that you’ve used too many trades
    Drop your origin season keepers
Enter R13 with the bare 13, one of them under an injury cloud

    Post Origin

Get back your origin keepers ASAP, having 3 less of them than you started with.
Run out of trades missing 4-5 must haves and being left with Havili in your best 17.
Fade the last 5 weeks to injuries and suspensions
Start building your FPL squad and focus on your NFL dynasty team
Stop reading the forum because people still have trades left and are discussing BEs
Field 14 players in the final 2 weeks

Disclaimer: While fun early, following this advice causes much late distress, but you already know this, because over 80% of the above is how you already play

Potential trade outs: Simo, Leniu, Capewell

    Potential trade ins: SOS

Can't trade Simo to SOS but he's wasting space not gaining any cash but can't see any real options.

    Team, 28 pre-trade, $69k
    Spoiler:

Liddle, Egan, Schuster, Walker will generate cash and most people have Niu and or Simonnson.

Do you want SOS because you think he will make $ or are you trying to force a trade? I’d wait and see which cheapies pop up as you’ve used a fair few trades already. Disclaimer: I’m a trade stinge.

Pretty close to locking in Reimis to Walker this week. Can’t see any other way to get him in.

    Brailey
    Tino, Watson, Lodge
    Fifita, Riki
    Cleary, Munster
    Momo, Roberts
    Papy, Brimson, Laurie

    Turpin, Liddle, SOS, Tupouniua
Schuster, Reimis > Walker, Utoikamanu, Niu

Also I know this might sound bonkers and the chatter indicates a portion are looking at trading him in, but what about trading Momo out??

At 480k trading down to Walker provides 230k and I’ll still have 2 fit CTRS and CTR/WFB cover.
I mean he’s still a CTR and will surely have the odd stinker of a game. Just wonder if the cash injection is worth running Roberts/Reimis/Niu and spending elsewhere.

Just something I thought I’d throw out there.

Solid team - looks like a hold for me. Some are saying trade Fog but it was an injury that kept him down, worth holding in my opinion.

    Missed it the first time

MIDS - couple of concerns coming up with BSmith and Kamikamica both a chance to lose minutes and need trading. I'd be holding bank and working towards a plan in this space.

WFB - I don't normally like to start the season with 3 keepers, but since you have I'd be holding. Brimson has already lost 150k and is still the guy you picked preseason capable of 45s. Just needs to latch onto a few offloads around the middle and he is golden

Bench has Liddle and Walker outside the 17 so you can probably do something there to generate cash in the next few weeks

Something like cash out Liddle and Schuster/Townsend then spend it upgrading mid would be my medium term plan

Yeah I'd only worry about Fog if he missed time from here, he clearly wasn't comfortable the whole game last week.

Personally I'd hold Brimson as a FB over a couple of wingers.  Admittedly both have started the season on fire.

Lots of depth outside your 17 (most teams are playing Walker, Liddle etc) which you might want to use to upgrade your top 17 in the next few weeks...

    edit: what MS said
