"Last year's debutants Xavier Coates, Herbie Farnworth and Izaia Perese are in a battle with Corey Oates for two wing positions. Kotoni Staggs is on track to claim the right centre position with Boyd leading the way in the battle for left centre."

    OH. MY. GOD

If they put Bird at fullback during the season what does that mean for everyone who has chosen Isaako? bounce

Who scores better to start the season first 10 rounds, Cook or Taumalolo?

    Also:

Option A of Cook, Taumalolo and Su’a/Stimson

Option B of Friend, Taumalolo and D. Fifita

Lolo and B if Fifita named to start with a decent bench.

Luai and Mann, may do well for their team and need to be replaced after about 5 or 6 weeks. No guarantee Brimson won't be mediocre at the Titans. If Williams does take off with scoring regular 50+, he will be the gun everyone desperately does surgery on their team to try and bring in and it may not be easy. He will be a dominate half with a good kicking game in a very strong team. Makes sense that he will score well.

If Mann/Luai/Brimson exceed expectations, they are still well-affordable and I will have Luai already

If Williams scores 50 he will only rise 8k. Even a 60 only sees him rise 20k. I am willing to pay that for a wait and see.

Other than downgrade the guns, is there alternative ways to free up cash that I'm missing?

    Friend
    Haas Knight
    Lolo Stimson Willams
    Moses Mann
    Lomax Milne
    Ponga Brimson Papy

    Koro BBrailey Grant Luai
    246 246 228 228
Very similar to my team drafts mate.

I am hoping a rookie WFB comes up and then I may shift Brimson into my halves with Cleary.

I’m also weighing up whether I go with Mann or not I’m very 50/50 on that.

I’m still eyeing off Mikaele pending what the Tigers prop rotation on their bench looks like.

Carrigan is another on my watch list.

If Cam King is on the bench for Cronulla I’ll avoid B. Brailey.

One things for sure mate injuries will happen in the 9’s and trials and then comes TLT where just when you think you’ve got things settled there will be surprises that throw us for 6 into utter chaos.

I think I prefer option B too mate going off my gut.

Taumalolo is 64k cheaper than Cook too.

Going with Jake Friend too allows you to be more flexible in other positions too I feel.

Should give you cash generation in 2 positions vs just 1 position in A.

Some way I’m thinking mate, Bateman was 593k to start with last season from memory and I didn’t start with him and easily bought him in about a month into the season.

You realise Lolo is in both of those right? So it's:

    Cook and Sua/stimson

    vs

    Friend and fifita.

B as long as fifita starts.

Edit, it feels like it shouldn't be an either or type question either. There's no reason you can't have all four unless you've dead set locked the rest of your team in with no more changes.

    Yes I realise that.

I’m a big Cookie fan obviously and I’m seeing if I can talk myself into possibly starting with him but I can’t see why I would so far tbh, that’s my thinking behind throwing a couple of combos around with Cook and without Cook.

Taumalolo at 64k cheaper and the fact he plays round 12 just looks so much more appealing.

Also comes down to would I choose Haas or Cook to start with and I’d choose Haas as much as that pains me to say.

In my head at least, I'm waiting on Cook. I don't know how he'll fare if his forwards aren't rolling and in my opinion y'know I love Cam Murray wow what a guy, Knight shows a lot of potential, Tommy's solid enough and I like the cut of Tatola's Jib but how will he go with that bench rotation?

Taumololo all the way. He is a wrecking ball hell bent on throwing eggs at cars. New stadium, bit of a shit year for the cowboys last year too. He's the absolute forward leader there. Maybe something to prove? Option B. Can't argue with Friend, Lolo and D.Fifita but you could definitely feel like Su'a ruined your birthday party by not being invited

I thought the same, then realised he was there as an alternative captain option if Cook wasnt chosen.

Does he really dominate Jack Wighton? A guy who had a breakout year getting called up to Origin in his first year in the halves. Given the raiders also have the first round bye I wouldn't feel the need to rush him in at all. There were 8 halves who averaged 50+ last season so scoring 50's isn't the holy grail.

C.S, seeing your Bird/Burns combo has inspired me. I had some early iterations with those two at centre but downgraded, but now since seeing you sporting them I’ve become mad jealous and I find them back in again. A 246k starting Talau might change things, but no much else.

Yeah very subject to TLT but the more I think about it the more I like leaving Mann out for a cheapie WFB. Sivo, To'o, Garrick all made plenty of coin last season and that's very tempting for the early rounds.
