Since I'm so far ahead, I'm going more lone wolf style and just focused more on the overall rankings, cause there's no point worry about the rest of the league obviously in that position.  Feels good though lol.  My question is, I'm sitting at 725 at the moment, can anyone share any ideas about how much one can realistically gain in the last month?  Am I bound to stay around that number or still a chance to crack into the top 500?  Smith will be captain this week and if I don't gain ground might even gamble on the risky captain choices from next week.

    Cheers!

Honestly once the byes are over if you are already with in the top 1000 you are lucky to gain 100 ranks from round 20 onwards unless there are major injuries. Most of the points you make up come from the bye rounds

Yeah, 725 at the moment so was looking at sneaking under 500, but just wasn't sure how realistic that is, what you said is kind of what I was thinking though now that all the squads above me are set up pretty similar.

Extremely lucky Lolohea is performing a little better than i expected. He's decent enough cover for Munster for these 2 weeks.

i've gone from 146 to 97 in the last two weeks (scores of 944 and 965), the top 25 or so is a long way off but after that is becomes fairly congested. there is about 100 points dif from me to 47th (50 spots ahead of me).

I still haven't made a good captain choice since before the last bye, though last week everyone was pretty much in the same boat.

watching the razor sharp attack of the Bulldogs this Thursday night ( again ). Eyewatering stuff.

Thanks mate, I knew going against Smith would be the best option, could go Crichton as he's been my C before but Brown is certainly a worthwhile punt, JDB too. I'm trading in DCE and Rapa this week leaving 1 trade so hopefully someone like Rapa can be a difference.

Hope you can get back up where we you mate too.

Yeah, that's what I was kind of thinking, just wanted you guys to say it so I don't get all disappointed. Have made thousands of rankings in the bye rounds so happy with that.

I've been hovering around rank 200 since the byes.

For every player I have with a good score, someone stinks it up to stop me climbing too high.

If I can manage a week where everyone goes well, then might be able to climb a bit

Paying the price for poor trades earlier in the season by having to play JBrom each week, with no funds to upgrade.

Want to use it by round 24,if an injury strikes in the last 2 rounds then so be it.

    Smith McInnes
    Fifita Taupau Brown Eisenhuth
Taumalolo JDB Gallen Surgess Crichton Fai
    Pearce DCE NuBrown Hampton
    BJ Scott Fuimaono Kelly
    Munster Edwards Mansour Hayne Phythian

Any ideas would be great, thanks guys

I would not trade any of your forwards. What you have is fine and any trade would be far too sideways for your last trade.

If you could get someone like TTrbo or Teddy, or a proper gun CTR in the backs that would be useful, but not sure how far your cash reaches without looking it up.

Alrighty. Let's go. Hoping to see Hayne and CWalker continue their poor scoring.

    Hayne ---> TTurbo
    Walker ---> Dufty

    2 trades and $100k left

    Smith, McInnes
    Vaughan, NBrown, Taupau, IPapali'i
Crichton, Surgess, Gallen, JDB, LeBrown, Fai
    Cleary, Pearce, Munster, Field
    Scott, TTurbo, Fui, Leilua
    Dufty, Deddy, Teddy, Chanel, Olam

So NBrown/Tapau can cover FRF/2RF. TTurbo can cover CTR/WFB.
I have one strong(ish) scorer outside my 13 in every position.

1 trade to upgrade someone next round.
1 trade for disaster (gun going down for the season).

Hey guys might as well throw my team before my mates league crunch final.

    2 trades left and 130k.

    Smith, McInnes
    Fifita, Vaughan, Nuff, Nuff
Crichton, Gallen, Taumalolo, JDB, Taupau, Surgess
    Cleary, DCE, FBrown, Nuff
    Turbo, Croker, Hayne, Kelly
    Teddy, Edwards, Mansour, MWZ, Nuff

Thinking of captaining Crichton as a punt.
Thinking of trading Mansour to Rapana.

I like the trade. I think Rapana (like TTrbo) will finiah the season strong. Aside from Tedesco I personally think they are the two must have backs for the run in.

    Did anyone watch ABC news?

ABC were forced to apologise to footy star Jarryd Hayne after bizarrely naming him as the man arriving with John Ibrahim at the nightclub owner's house hours after drugs raids.
