I think I said this to you a while ago, but I think someone at Jim Kidd Sports fucked up deluxe!

EVERY Jim Kidd store I have been to in Perth there are fucking oodles of Knights and Raiders merch, but only normal amounts of every other team.  It's hilarious, I think somone put an extra 0 on the end of their orders or something.

McDJ Stadium is 8th in average attendance on data available (last 100 games). Even taking the once-off games out of it, they're still only 6th. Only ~110 ahead of CBus and that stadium is a ghost town.
ANZ averages 3k more and it has games like the SOU v GC blockbuster that 7k turned out for bringing it down.
They were 7/8 in attendance the last week gone, off the back of a (albeit undeserved) victory.

Geez it really is a tough old slog in L1. First 11 players are all inside the top 500.

There's 550 thousand people in Newcastle.
There's nearly 2 million in Brisbane.
    There's 4 million in Sydney.

Per capita we've got better crowds attending our games or at least on par with the heavyweights.

Hell if you do some quick maths out of that. Based in the stars from the end of march this year we get 3% of our population to games. You get 1.6%

Of course Brisbane being bigger it's more spread out so I'll grant it'd be harder to get to but on the same foot Newcastles results have been shocking the last few years.

Both cities have fuck all to do except go to the footy so there's little excuses.

    D) Surgess to Tedesco
E)Do nothing and hold the trade

Just make sure you divide the Sydney population by 9 first, since they have so many clubs to divvy up among NRL patrons. I think this is really the biggest factor by far in their low crowd numbers.

I wouldn't divide it by 9 because that's assuming only home fans go to games. They're close enough that they could attend their teams away games.

Compared to other stadiums outside major capitals...

McDJ Stadium - 2.57% of Newcastle turnout (14080 crowd, 546k pop)
CBus Stadium - 2.46% of GC turnout
1300 Smiles Stadium - 10.09% of Townsville turnout
Win Stadium - 5.21% of Woolongong turnout
GIO Stadium - 3.94% of Canberra turnout
Southern Cross - 5.7% of the Sutherland Shire turnout
Pepper Stadium - 6.97% of Penrith turnout
Cambelltown Stadium - 7.48% of the town turnout

I mean, beating GC isnt bad... I guess? If thats the bar you're setting.

I would hold the trade, everyone trading out S. Burgess he was sent off and conceded a penalty and still made 41 points. He might not score as much as Trbojevic/Vaughan/Woods for the run home but I think the trade is more valuable because it could crippler your team if someone like Pearce goes down.

The Hunter region has always been recognized as a strong base for football, it being the hotspot for two rival teams in the Superleague war speaks volumes about its importance as a pipeline for football talent and fans. They are a niche unto themselves, but probably more comparable to other city-based standalone franchises like Brisbane and Canberra, who also draw solid crowds. Comparing them to Sydney franchises is so apples and oranges, it makes me crave a smoothie. I would expect Newcastle to draw strong crowds despite the poor season with the monopoly they have on the region. Not to detract from their fan's effort to turn out in any way (they are admirable, we all admit), but claiming to have the best fans is as subjective as claiming to have the best team.

    Which i do.

3 trades left and only 2k in the bank.
Currently playing Adam Reynolds and Jarrod Wallace in my 17.
I have back up in every position except half.
My 1st trade is to cash out Scott, leaving me with 215k.
    What's the better upgrade?
    Reynolds to Cleary
    Reynolds to DCE
    Reynolds to Munster
    Wallace to Taumololo
    Wallace to Nathan Brown.
Or do I hold the trades?
The money I have left will be used to upgrade the other option, or be used for injury.
    Thanks in advance.

I like your trade options and the fact you have depth beyond that and you have a trade left over. I would bring in Cleary.
