    (am I doing it right?)

Depends on how much you paid for your hooker, perhaps just wing it

Why? Are the Dragons suddenly going to start using 16 players each week instead of 17?

I know he's really cheap but is Hayne honestly going to be good this year for fantasy? The small sample size from last year doesn't inspire much confidence. So he's more of a cow at this stage than a potential gun?

My thinking is that if the bench is not good for McInnes then it's good for JDB and vice versa. That's why I won't have both.

not sure what the plan is, but marketo might come into the team and his role is a little less easy to define than matthews who played on the edge.

i believe marketo was used more sparingly and even had a stint at hooker. which may mean more mins for jdb or thompson.

what do you think will happen?

Thoughts on Pritchard. Will he make any money off the bench or wait till bye rounds and reassess

Those scores were partly in the halves and he was out of the game for a while. Remains to be seen if he becomes the premier wfb again, but should certainly be up there.

I'm predicting week to week changes in minutes while McGregor tries to keep his job before ultimately being sacked by round 7. Plenty of upside in that pack (JDB, Vaughan, Frizell) but I'm avoiding all except for McInnes

At his price it's less about if he becomes a potential gun than not shooting yourself in the foot for not having him. He's so cheap as a starting WFB option that almost everyone serious will have him, and by having him you save on a premium priced WFB, as there isn't much option between him and the 300k guys (every should have RTS anyway). Use those savings to improve your other positions and maybe squeeze that one extra gun in, or upgrade from a risky midranger to a 2nd/3rd tier gun. If Hayne kicks on you get all the benefit there, as well as the added benefit of the increased scores you got from where you used the savings.

If he fails then you have to upgrade him but you've gained some points elsewhere and with so many having him you haven't lost out. If you want to say he will not live up to the hype then you are effectively going to be betting against the house and hoping you are the lucky one. While this is needed at some point in the season, I'm not so bold as to basically do it from the get go, especially with no comparable player in his price bracket to go to instead as this isn't like a Surgess vs Gallen scenario where if the popular pick goes off it isn't like you lose out much with Gallen still scoring well, but for Hayne there is no one else you could get similar who may be a POD that would put up similar stats.

And in addition, what are you classifying as being good. I'm fully expecting him to probably go for maybe 30 average early on before finding his groove again. You aren't going to suddenly drop your WFB for a player who might be scoring late 20's early 30's early on in the season when nabbing the cash cows is key, and then further down the line when you start seeing the consistency you have injuries/byes to deal with. Makes a lot more sense for me given his price to accept being a sheep and not losing out when there is so much more to gain by having him in the early stages of the season.

There's a lot of rumours about Hayne not being fit for round 1.

I'm guessing most will still carry him if he doesn't play. I guess Phthyian will slot in for a lot of teams if he is out.

Hayne is like Idris. I don't think Idris will do that well based on watching him in the trial but pointless to go without

I was just reading about Hayne on a Titans forum. He hasn't even run for 3 weeks. Hayne said the Physio was pretty confident & he felt great. He has training on Monday & this will determine if he plays. But when you consider Hurrell & Sarginson are also in the same boat & with Peats out & a few more injuries like Simpkins, Olive, the reserve hooker it seems the Titans will be in a bit of disarray even before round 1 kicks off.
