Who thinks that since the Sharks have booted Barba the Sharks will now sign Segeyaro as they will now have room in the cap. I hope so cause then I can run my Segeyaro team.

Looking really decent. If Mortimer gets a solid 50-60 minutes at HOK he could average 40 points for you. I love the PoD of Graham and who is placeholder for McGuire at this stage?

I was thinking of going with Fifita/Wallace but i think Paasi will be back on the park sooner than we think, so I decided to go Graham/Saifiti due to $$$
Also, Graham provides good bye coverage.

With this team I'm assuming that Mortimer gets the 50+ mins at Hooker, and also assuming that McGuire will be starting at Lock. I can change Mortimer for Lamb, and McGuire to Buhrer or Barnett (whoever plays lock for the knights) if my assumptions are wrong.

I'd say it's likely but it's not really good news for us anyway as everyone will have him. Just gives teams more common players and less room to find an edge.

Depends what price Seggy comes in at.

If they price him on 2016 NRL stats then lots will have him

If they price him on 2016 Super League stats then he may be too expensive to be an autopick

What if he's priced somewhere near the middle?

That's like asking how long is a piece of string. Pricing of ESL players is a bit random so you can't easily predict what they'd put him at.

His price based on his 2016 NRL scores is $254k.

So if he plays this year I'd expect his price to be somewhere between that and $500k

Is there a precedent for someone playing in bot the the NRL and ESL in the same year before coming back?

Not just someone who did it but how they were priced.

Jamie Soward done a similar thing a few years ago, I wonder how he was priced, I have no records

I wouldn't have the cahones to play Seggy straight off the bat regardless of price tbh

Mortimer will be on the bench in rnd 1 if Segeyaro ends up with the sharks. Flanno will play it safe to start the year.

gallen more valuable this year given he is no longer playing rep and has the first 2 bye weeks free. could be a lot of ppl jumping on him down the track. question is, is it better to get on early.

he is also 35 this year, might be increased resting periods/decrease workload. still it might save a trade Razz

Souths forumers seem more interested and confident in Tom Burgess than George. If you're going with George, why not just go with Tom? Almost the same price, and Tom will start.

Tom was a started last year too, so starting this year doesn't provide any additional advantage.

Tom also doesn't have 3 years of a 50 point average in his history

I'd be wary of George. I'm hearing that the pelvis/ groin issue he had last year was operated on but didn't make much difference. He is looking to manage the injury again this year from what I understand. It is that pubis whatever thingy and it isn't good for front rowers. I'll be giving him a miss. He'll probably pump out 60's now cheer

I am a little skeptical of George too. But if I go without him, his replacement is unlikely to be Tom

There was a post on here earlier today stating Madge said George's problem last year is now fixed
