He is a turnstyle in defence and error prone, those predicted big KM will need to be accompanied with big attacking stats to get a half decent avg out of him

what did he avg last year and what is his likely starting $?

    You tell me.

I'm only playing Moneyball this year. None of this let's outluck 100 thousand people nonsense.

But I will give my various thoughts on players throughout this thread. I do know Roberts came off after like 5 minutes against the Warriors and didn't return.

Going to take Taylor even if he is out at the start of the year? Also Roberts could be a solid option, cheaper than Mortimer and did a lot of kicking when Mullen was out. He just appears to be inconsistent.

Roberts is huge huge risk IMO doesn't he have multiple fantasy games of scoring under 10?

Tyrone Roberts averaged 43 points per game while Mullen was injured. (This discounts the game he played 2 minutes in.) He averaged 124 kick meters per game when Mullen played the full game, compared to his average of 330 kick meters when Mullen was out.

So he definitely can make improvement as long as his halves partner does less kicking than Mullen. Which should be likely. Roberts scored under 10 points twice last season. (Once while playing with Mullen and once while injured.) He only scored lower than 30 points on one occasion when Mullen was injured, so there is certain upside to him if he gets the starting job alongside someone like Mortimer.

Also the Titans have signed Cameron Cullen to a trial contract for the Off-Season so he could end up in the mix as well. Oh and he is likely to be around the $300k mark based off last seasons average.

    8835 to start last year.

If the salary cap increases it will no doubt go up again.

How long is Tariq Sims suspended for (in actual NRL games - discounting any trials he'll miss)

If he is gone for a month or more I think Joseph Tapine will be a great player to start the season with

Tapine is on my radar as well. Interesting that you are running with Parcell with Koroisau likely to get big mins.

    Nice start.

Possibly too much cash on the WFB NPRs, and I'm not sure Parcell will be worth it.
Other than Rochow no big surprises.

I wonder if the Grant signing will push Sue or Edwards to the bench for the tigers. Or if Grant will come off the bench.

Also hope Gutherson is rookie priced. I'm worried that given he only played 5 minutes last year they might price him on 2014 scoring.

Also don't think Cooper will be available to start year as 2RF, will see what happens.

With Tariq Sims missing 5 rounds, Tapine is almost certainly in my rd 1 team.

    very decent mate

not sure i would stack 2 knights second rowers ina a team mind, although i do like Tapine and Rochow

Love Mike Cooper, consistent and if dual will 100% be in my starting team

not sold on Parcell can't see him getting the minutes

love the CTR pairing, if Hurrell can stay off the twinkies i think that CTR partnership could last you all season. Lafai is in my starting team

not sure Gutherson will start the season that low? if he does he is a goer for me!

Mansauce well placed to earn some nice cash at his starting $$, think i will go Teddy, Mansour and some rookie to star the season

Really not liking the options at hooker this year.

Planning on running one of Blair/Copley with a rookie (Addo-Carr?) taking the other slot.

I think Grant off bench in prop rotation.

Gutherson will be a lock if rookie priced. Great byes and should make bulk cash.

Thinking his 3? games at lock last year along with him potentially starting the year there will give him DPP

The two big mistakes I make every year are

    1. Not having 1 elite WFB
    2. Have 2 mid price CTRs.

Gordon, Mansour, Hurrell and Lafai are all good picks. I have looked at all of them so far. I understand the logic.

But how often does every mid price player turn out to score what "they are supposed to score"?

That is true, however i would look at the fact that both CTRs were elite in their position before last season
injuries affected Lafai, seems Hurell has dedication issues.
Mansour again elite but affected by injuries last year

I do see what you are saying that their are possibly too many might be's when looking at the CTRS and WFB positions together

If Segeyaro is the lone hooker for the Panthers he becomes a must pick.

Do you think you will get that much value out of Packer?

What is the likelihood of Rochow getting 80 minutes? What is the make up of the Knights pack, anyone?

    Who is Mairie Martin?
