I guess its true that prizes don't mean everything. After all most people aren't playing to win the overall comp but just beat their mates or play for a bit of fun.

    A-league RDT - $2,000 in prizes (top3 + eliminator) - 2593 entries

Official A-League fantasy (fanhub) - no cash prozes - win GF experience, plus minor prizes of kits/club memberships - 4125 entries

    Foxsports Fantasy A-League - zero prizes - 6740 entries

VS really need to advertise better. Fanhub prizes are a joke, they say its $300k but neglect to mention its all digital pass subscriptions which 99% of people playing fantasy don't want or need.

I remember early this year when they opened and then a couple of days later came out with "Over $300,000 in prizes", it was like holy fucking shit!  Then realised $240,000 was digital passes like you said  Bang

I don't think advertising will help that much (for A-League at least)

All the prize chasers would already be there, and the Foxsports interface is so much easier for the casual (particularly the casual who already plays fantasy premier league and just wants an interface they are familiar with)

But even on the Addicts A-league fantasy page most people there prefer to play fox - knowing that RDT exists and knowing that fox has no prizes.
At some point you have to blame the product.

Personally I feel the NRL/AFL pricing model they use is very poorly suited to soccer scoring, where player scores can easily go something like 2,4,16,-1,4,12
Given that player averages are generally low, suddenly getting one massive score makes for unrealistic jumps. Its like the equivalent of Corey Parker busting out a score of 190 every 5 weeks.
Its just way too volatile and leads to prices going up and down far too much during the season to make it enjoyable for me.

At least they got rid of giving points for being on a winning team. 2 years ago I was briefly winning RDT , and the guy coming 2nd had something like 14 out of his 16 squad members coming from Brisbane Roar. And it was after 1-2 months of the comp, it wasn't a guy who'd just fluked a big score or 2.

Some info on Burr's missed tackles.
Titans backrower Lachlan Burr had the dubious distinction of leading all forwards in average missed tackles with 3.7 and his 74 misses was good enough for fifth overall and he was the only forward ranked inside the top 10 for misses.

    HOK - Isaac Luke

yay to Moylan if he gets a run at five eight as has been talked about and struggles so his price drops
middle ground on fergo. no major reasons to say yay or nay so will be dependent on price of other players
nay to cronk. there are halves with more upside in attack who I will target
    yay to mcquire
    yay to merrin
yay to luke at the moment but nay if leuleuai is on the bench at 1st team list

So taking into account the story in the Bronco's thread. You're a Copley man and you're cutting Marantra loose ? Can't wait to see what Kevin Nash has to say.

Yes. I would play Copley at full fitness over Maranta every single day of the week. If I had to select one to cut as you suggest it would be Maranta. Copley had a bad year due to injuries however he has shown previously when fully fit what he is capable of. I would be suprised if any other Broncos fans on this forum disagreed with me (except Hench) and would rather Maranta. It is however my own personal opinion and Coach may think otherwise. Copley would be a solid pick up for any club especially the Tigers.

I think the reduced interchanges will play a big part on teams next year! J Brom was playing a couple of games for 70mins. That might happen more to save an interchange.

Yea the big minute props will be the main area where you will see an impact I think. I mean you could realistically see see a side like the bulldogs run with 3 props and have Graham and Tolman play 70m each

You could also think the reduced interchanges could mean that they get longer rest periods as well.
