After the lopsided Gabba Test, will the result be any different in this test.

I think that the toss and the first session is crucial, forecast 37 degrees, win the toss bat be none or one down at lunch and the other side will wilt in the afternoon heat.

    Thoughts.....

Going to day 2, looking forward to it. Going to absolutely roast in the WA heat just like the kiwis.

To be fair it's flat, McCullum & Williamson will eat up runs on this track.

Jeepers 1-240 odd at tea, kiwis in all sorts of trouble on a baking hot day.

WACA will start to to get some cracks going late into Day 2 and the wickets will start to fall.

Kudos to Warner, the concentration, the fitness, the skill to do that for 6 and a half hours in that heat.
I would not be surprised if he gets out early tomorrow as he would probably wake up very stiff and sore.
Hopefully he keeps going as 300+ and a heap of records is there for the taking.

To be fair if I saw the highlights from this game with that scoreline and it was India Vs Sri Lanka at Chennai. I'd be all over it as home side padding their averages.

Kudos to Cricket Australia for scheduling this demoralisation so soon after the Rugby WC.

@ KFP, was 24 at 6 o'clock this morning where I am and it's now 815 and 31 degrees.  Feels like it's got the potential to go above the forecast 38; hope Honeysett got a seat in the stands...
