    Why no thread????

Anyway I am looking forward to this series I think Aus will win but I expect a few calamities on the way.

At work forced to listen to radio coverage and unable to find a steaming site (that my work server hasn't blocked) to view it over the internet.

Kiwi's are bowling well but if we get through this session it will open up hopefully. What's the weather prediction up there?

Fine with thunderstorms in the afternoon, meant to be storms for every arvo of the test.

High 20's. Fairly humid outside as well. Might be heading to the cricket tomorrow afro

100 runs for 0 wickets - first session goes to the Aussies. Kiwi's were getting a bit loose towards the end of the session.

Anyone know if the no ball in the last/2nd last over was for 3 behind square ? Commentators were going on about height but surely the umps didn't get it that wrong.

Australia well on top. Warner with a ton, 2nd partnership breezes past 50, another 100+ this session

I was more worried about our batting then bowling, only rain will stop us now.

Me too. Guess that is what happens when people completely stop looking at Foxsports.com because of the over-saturation of Hayne articles.

Another century, another 50+ partnership, another 100+ session.
389 in a day is a big score. Rain is about the only thing that can save the Kiwi's now.
In saying that I do prescribe to the "you can't judge a pitch till both sides have batted", but a kiwi win already looks out of the question

Nearly 400 in the first day? That's hearkening back to the Haydos-opens-for-another-ton glory days!

I'm not. That drip ended up owning the sportal cricket forum because everyone else got tired of the same shit, day in day out. Get some new material, FFS!! Sleep

Righto - so, declare at 600? Is that the target? normally 550 seems to be around the mark, but given the scoring has been so quick, we can probably pile on the extra 50-80 worth of "misery" runs, and go for an outright. Bowlers should be fresh, given it's the first of the season......

600 should be about tea. Have the final session at them, then the bowlers are fresh again tomorrow morning

I invited him here on Sportal and he said he will probably drop over.  Difference here is we have a lot more control now being admin and also having a lot of the active posters as mods.  Brockley said he might have a look over here but didn't sound promising  Crying or Very sad

I enjoy a good debate. Hell, I love a good fightfight, even.

I hate trolls that persist for ever and ever and ever.

Loving the new forum so far. Small, but focused!

Hopefully expands that bit more to be just the right size.  With the current 60 odd members the majority are or will be regular posters when season starts.  Another 30 or 40 regular posters would be awesome.  We will pick up a fair chunk of that when the seasonal Sportal posters start logging on again.  A few feelers out amongst some FB groups planned as well come January  Very Happy
