I'm thinking Pereira and Ravalawa will start come Round 1. Any new news on the Dragons backline? I guess we'll have to wait until the Dragons actually name a team list rather than these annoying squad lists. Lomax strikes me as an archetype centre that probably wouldn't offer as much on the wing as Ravalawa, could be wrong.

Wasn't this the point people made about getting Katoa anyway? Do people think Rein and Brimson will be on the bench for the Titans come round 1? If Rein misses out, anyone interested in Nathan Peats? Could be handy given he plays round 12 and he ended the season with 55 and 56 playing 80

This requires more discussion, got missed in all the other talk. Brennan says Brimson returns via bench. I don't know why it never occured to me that this would mean one less forward if Rein is there too. I think it's unlikely he carries two utilities. He could just be protecting Brimson from the media and intends to play him at fullback if not rd 1 then shortly after. Rein could go to reserve grade.

And what about Carty? Surely he gets a bench spot, proabably to spell Arrow. Proctor & James both 80 minutes forwards. Wallace can olayvbig minutes starting but Boyd can't so 2 middle forwards (Fotuaika & King?) then EITHER Rein or Brimson (with Roberts spelling Peats) but not both. You've also got Peachey to throw in the mix who can olay anywhere but still both Rein & Brimson on the bench is madness.

It's a tricky one. Brennan rates Rein, which is why he brought him with him from Penrith, but it isn't usually a good idea to run a hooker and a utility as you say.

I agree Alfie. But it looks like Pereira has locked up the left wing meaning Lavamanana is outside Aitken. It's the old Xerri/Katoa outside Dugan argument. I think they are good enough to not matter buts it's still a risk.

How many seasons removed are we from Peats being almost gun level? I'd like to see him back as an 80 minute player

He still looked like an absolute beast though, was he outside Aitken in the trial? I'll take him over Allan, playing out of position and relied on tries to get an average of 32 in the ISC. I generally take 5 off of reserve grade averages as well as a general rule of thumb.

2016 was my first year. I know straight off the top of my head (I think???) because we were tossing up Peats, Segeyaro, and Lichaa and two got injured round one . Well certainly Seggy and Lichaa did. Maybe I'm making the Peats thing up.

Don't know if Allan even in the Souths team when GI back. Burns to wing, Campbell Graham locked for the other? Souths fans? Burns has crossed my radar but awkward price/security.

Peats got injured Round 2 so not far off. I remember because he tricked a lot people into rushing him in after a 60 tackle 66 playing 80 in Round 1

He's no canoe, or Samberg imo but we are thread 8 out of 50+ so I have no objection.

If they're injured 3+ weeks they're a trade anyway and on the off chance your starters cop a one or two week injury/suspension, chances are you can trade one of your dud cows to a FRF cow with the benefit of knowing more about the line ups, bench rotations and forward minutes by that point.
I’d go the other way and suggest your biggest bench spend (unless going with 2 big hookers from the off), should be on a gun or potential gun FRF/2RF DPP

TPJ was ideal but looks a bit of a shaky pick. Leaves Taupau or Burgess. I’m currently taupau with weaker WFB than most

Yeah he's that type of guy I want and possibly play in my 17, strong tackle busting. Sivo I've got an eye out for too. They won't have any job security though so could be better left to your 18-21.

Yeah good movie. saw it at the cinema so I must have been fairly young! A lot of his films mediocre but The Mask, Liar Liar, Truman show are stand outs.
