That tactic of getting under chambers skin certainly worked a treat!

After 80 minutes Storm easily dominated the Sharks but just how one sided the reffing is at times is frustrating, definitely helped the Storm get on the front foor, but I would never say it's why the won the game.
Hopefully Slater gets suspended.
Didn't the sharks get away with two blatant eye gauges?

Re: Finals chat
Slater should play, nothing in it. His right arm was clearly open and around in front of Feki's body, even if his left shoulder did also make contact. If that is a suspension, then the game has absolutely gone to the dogs.

Slater charged. You play your whole career as a grubby cunt and you'll end it that way. See ya Slater

Re: Finals chat
Really over the Storm in Grand Finals, kind of boring now. That should change next season I hope. Not to say they don't deserve it of course, they are a mighty team, but I am bloody hoping they slide down the ladder next season and when Smith finally retires.

how did the Warriors lose to this rabble?
You can tell this is a Roosters team, Friend has taught their dummy-half to throw the short forward pass like a pro

Some nice sorts in the Dragons team. Im a sucker for blondes though.
Anyway, so easy for the Roosters when moving it wide.

the Dragons winger on that one side of the field is defending so far in-field she could almost reach out and touch the goalpost and the commentators are acting like it Roosters brilliance when they exploit it.
This is a pretty embarrassing result for the first season, you can't put a team with a losing record in the grand final, they need to add one team next year for no other reason than to increase the likelihood of a second team to at least go 2-2.

He'll get off, already contesting the charge.
Not that I agree with it, but the Storm's defence will be able to throw enough doubt in there because Slater's right arm made an attempt to wrap the player up. Sure, it was only there because the inertia of his body flung it around, but it was there. Plus the argument that its probably reasonable for him to be bracing for impact against Feki stepping in field.
It's not as clear cut as the anti-Slater mob would have anyone believe.

I wouldn't have been surprised if he wasn't even charged.

Re: Finals chat
i understand there's nothing that can be done about it, but it really fucking bothers me that a team who has lost more games than they've won gets to play in a sudden-death game to win the comp.

Re: Finals chat
That kind of thing happens all the time. The winger or FB comes in with a shoulder charge as a last ditch effort, 99/100 times its never even mentioned. You see it just about every game and its basically never mentioned.
Based on the fact that the player performed what is just about a classic shoulder charge, yes the player should miss a week for it.
But with the way they ref it / judge it - he will get off because they never "convict" the last ditch effort ones.
Would it be sweet justice for him being a grub his entire career? fuckin oath. For the good of the game, he shouldn't get suspended though.

Re: Finals chat
The excuses are what bothers me the most, he comes across from a long way out giving him plenty of time and there are plenty of ways to tackle coming side on. Whatever he thinks Feki is going to do has zero impact on the play. Just because he is going to score a try doesnt excuse anything and doesnt mean you do anything you can that is illegal to stop it.

yeah exactly. It was a shoulder charge, there is no disputing it what so ever.
My issue is - they never penalise it anyway so why now

Re: Finals chat
jeez, media would be salivating over a Roosters vs Storm GF so they can run 'Big 3' stories all week, and by the looks of things, even if it happened they'd have to shelve them because only only one of them would be playing.
