I think the drop off from the top WRs is much bigger then the top RBs especially in consistency.

Now the byes are finished no point holding someone who won’t play when you could get an upgrade at a position you must play.

I don’t think Mixon and Kerryon are worth WR1s by themselves

Agree with what u say mate, although Mixon has greater value than Kerryon IMO.

For me Mixon is comfortably in the top 10 of RBs I see him as similar value to guys like CMC, Fournette, perhaps even Connor moving forward.

Kerryon I'd rate ~20th. Juan Howard, A Peterson, Tarik Cohen type value.

So I'd argue Mixon is definitely WR1 value while Kerryon is not.

    Just my 2c.

I just traded Gordon TY and L Miller for A Brown in L1. To be honest Im not sure who got the better end of the stick - perhaps we both did. My logic though is along the lines of your post. For all intents and purposes, from my perspective, I basically upgraded TY to Brown but sacrificed depth. Its a kinda all in play to stay competitive with the top teams in L1. I should make the playoffs but any injuries and I'll be heading to waivers basically Smile

Team as it stands though is now built around Barkley, Mixon, Brown & Hopkins - fingers crossed.

That trade is probably a win for both teams, id say the other guy while he downgraded at wr1 probably got significant upgrades at wr2 and flex

I really felt I needed the win this week to help lock up a play off victory.. Fitzmagic struck my team with intercepts and getting benched a second time. The majority of my team off the mark as well.

Arizona, LAC and KC are the leading contenders on who he's been talking to, since those are the teams who also looked at Taumalolo (and they trialed at the same time).

Don't have any animosity towards any of them so would be happy with that. Apparently he ran a 4.6 second 40 which seems pretty good for an NRL player.

My take is that Hayne showed it was possible but bloody hard. What would Holmes 'dream' be in terms of position? Cause I reckon at best he might find himself a special teams spot as kick return and/or gunner. But is that the type of spot NRL players 'dream' of? I personally think NFL is too complex a game for people who have never played the game to realistically grab a skill position spot.

Decent but hardly gonna set the world on fire....

Top RBs are clocking sub 4.5s
    Top WRs sub 4.4s

Beyond a marketing story I fail to see how Holmes gets any traction tbh. Unless of course he is ok with a special teams spot. Then maybe he has something he can realistically work toward.

But he hasn't exactly trained for a 40 yard dash. He could easily push closer to that 4.5s mark potentially. I agree he may get a special teams run akin to Hayne for a team like Arizona throughout the preseason and early in the season to sell some jerseys and have a talking point aside from how their team is actually going. I feel like transitioning to a WR is too difficult with learning the route tree.

I could see him getting down to 4.5 with more specialised training. I agree he won't be seeing reps as a skill position starter though.
The advantage he has over Hayne is his age but he's not as athletic and also a lot smaller both of which count against him.

Maybe its just another team promising him fullback. Story of his life.

Holmes seems to have a much higher/straight up running action and higher Centre of gravity then Hayne had and that was one of Haynes biggest hurdles
