I don't think he really ripped it to him as much as I thought he might have or he should have, but saying that, at the same time, he kind of did, but the way he spoke and handled himself and answered questions about Gus was all class. He basically stated what was true and what was not but never degraded Gus or anyone or made himself look bitter or spiteful. Definitely worth watching, he certainly made Gus look like the c**t here.

I was going to play Cleary in my 17 but by the sounds of the support he had, I wouldn't be surprised if this backfires and the team just don't turn up for the rest of the season. Ivan should tell Gus to get fucked and get Ivan to the Tigers.

Yeah cheers Stu, whoops, brainfart. Funny how when you type what you're thinking sometimes you just type something completely the opposite without even picking up on it. Must be getting Alzheimers.

I have done it on here numerous times. Mentioned the same team/player twice when I meant their opposition or whatever. Fail

Well he can't be too diplomatic because at the moment Gus is justifying his crazy decision by badmouthing the bloke left right and centre.

Effectively will need to defend the idea that he's too old school and lost the support of players, who were still winning games of football (e.g. imagine what would happen if they were losing).

Did you catch it mate? I am going to say in the context of everything that it was the best Rugby League interview I have ever seen. I saw a lot of stuff said about Hook from the Broncos, but his record at the Panthers can't be questioned. That on top of how well he spoke tonight, I would have no hesitation in him being a straight swap for Cleary next year, or even now.

I'm still yet to watch the interview mate but as a Broncos fan, he was great at our club.

Can't knock the club for having to push him aside to make room for the best coach that has ever coached but had it been anyone else other than Bennett, I'm sure Hook would have been retained.

Hopefully it's not a similar situation at the Panfers.......

Try to watch it mate. Whilst there is a hint of preparation/formula in the first 5 minutes, no doubt on Fox' behalf, the next half hour is incredibly controlled and objective considering the bloke just got shafted out of nowhere with his team in the Top 5 for what we all know was to bring Cleary in regardless of the shit Gould has spun.

So stuck!!! Have 2 spots available and it’s a fight between Arrow, Fainu, Kikau and Martin. At the moment Arrow and Fainu are winning. Arrows pump up story has sold me that he is back to pumping out 60-80 minutes and I feel Fainu will just keep pumping out big scores and it could be a real attacking game against the dogs. He will score a try!

After I posted that I just went and caught the replay.

    Was awesome.

I had a fair bit of respect for the bloke prior to watching that but it has just multiplied x 1000.

He might not be the first bloke you'd invite to a party......but as a player, I know who I'd respect and want to play for more.

I suspect Gould is going to come under a fair bit of pressure now following that.

After over 20 years in league dressing sheds, I can assure you no woman coach will fit in there. Or training. It’s a sausage fest. You won’t see a woman coach for that reason alone. Yes, they allow women in to do interviews, but it is very carefully managed. When the cameras aren’t there, boys just want to have fun and it is no place for a woman....that is the practical reason. Wouldn’t matter how tough or mentally strong or talented, the dynamics make it impractical.
