He did some solid things at the defensive end, his biggest play was his try save on half time at centre. He should have stayed there. He didn't do anything Hayne couldn't have done if moved to FB, which might have given him and the team the spark we needed given how out of sorts Hayne was at centre. It was the perfect chance to inject him differently and in a position he is more comfortable and Daley made the wrong call.

Daley made the wrong call by not taking Hayne off.
    He was fucking dreadful.

With the way he was playing there is no way I would have wanted him at fullback, where he has been fucking shit for the titans this year as well.

Haha, yeah, Johns going off but I thought Daley summed it up well as to why they didn't target him as he would have just shifted further out to the wing in defence and then they wouldn't have the chance to really run at him at all.
I think Daley was admitting that they didn't even think of it

    Couple of fun points...

    1. I said to my young bloke, when Hayne back flicked it into touch: " remember that bullshit, it might cost them the game.

    2. AJ having a cry about not targeting jt with one shoulder.  Fatty asked him" I assume that's what you would have done? ".

    Silence.

if he shifts out to the wing, then you run the fucking winger at him, and you kick it to him.

Got to be more clever as players and realise JT was struggling and take it on yourself

Friz targetted him on almost every run and bumped him twice

    Nah.

Look, his kicking game gave us enough opportunities and field position to win the game. And forced a drop out or two. AND he is lumped with the responsibility of pretty much doing all the kicking, unlike Cronk, Thurston and Smith, who share it.
Hayne should have caught that pass, it wasn't his best pass, but I would have caught it, the pass didn't cost us, the drop didn't help us.
He didn't cost us. He didn't lead us to victory, but he wasn't the reason for the loss.

His kicking game was Terrible! He continuously cant find grass. Continually puts up shit mid field bombs that dont put pressure on defenders.
Honestly, I dont know what game you were watching.
Its irrelevant whether hayne shouldnt have caught the pass or not, pearce shouldnt have thrown it.
Pearce has the reigns to the side. He is the halfback, yet cant do the main job of a halfback, kick the side into good field position. And he has never been able to to it in origin.
He was a big big fucking part of the reason for the loss.

    Sorry, totally disagree with you.

they didnt pepper Holmes either. Why the fuck not? Cunt drops it on his first touch, has a pretty quiet game. Why not pepper the fuck out of him with bombs all game?

Wrong again pieman, he should have been sent to FB. He wins Origins from there like Pearce loses them from 7. You can't have it both ways brother.

In fairness, in Origin Johns probably wouldn't have got the chance to attack JT as he likely would have been at hooker, on the bench, or not selected at all.

We had over 60% of the territory for the game and over 80% of the territory in the 2nd half. I'm not sure how much more territory he can give us.

You and I obviously saw his time at Fullback completely differently then Ice. I thought he was exceptional, and I really fucking hate him.

He was exceptional, no doubt, but it was all in our defensive 50. I just think given he was also exceptional at centre in the defensive end, and we needed more than 16 points to win, And given Hayne hadn't fired, I thought shifting Hayne there might have got us the points we needed. Dugan was never going to be a points producer from FB. What it showed me was that Daley had decided 16 points was going to be enough and we could defend our way to victory and if that was the case the next the Dugan call was the right one. But I don't think 16 was ever going to be enough, so if we wanted more points, Hayne to FB was the better call, and so it transpired, but I accept hindsight is a wonderful thing.

For the record, I called and 18-16 Qld win early in the second half, we just didn't look like we wanted to score.

Yep, agreed, never said he wasn't, he is a great defesive FB and ball returner, which is wonderful when you think you have enough points. With 16 on the board at half time, did anyone around these parts think, against Slater, Thurston, Cronk and Smith, it would be enough?

I sure as hell didn't and the longer we went with no points the more likely a Qld win was.

    - J Turbo is an absolute superstar and will captain NSW one day.
    - Teddy off hurt or go forward but Dugan and Fergy stepped up.
    - QLD got away with murder on block plays and there should have been more penalties blown.
    - Holmes got so much of that line I thought SKD sold it to him
    - NSW played dumb in the second half.
    - Referees guess with strip calls and always goes the wrong way. Ala Gagai.
    - Glasby/Hess/Holmes were poor, average at the very best.
    - QLD got home on the back of penalty calls late in the game and capatilised on them.

QLD will now win the series and belt us up there I reckon.
