I love how they just let things slide.

I like the idea of "hey guys, if you wana play origin, then take what you get on the field". The reviewers after the game can sort out suspensions etc

Greenburg definitely got his pre game wish (that no one would be talking about the refs today).

I was happy with the way it was reffed. I like the idea of letting things go in origin football. Just let em bash each other.

Eels Nathan Brown trained with squad yesterday and is expected to play in #NRLEelsWarriors after missing last weeks game with rib injury

I think if Brown plays, might as well just ride him out and I think I'll just trade kaufusi instead. Yeah he's bye cover but I'm looking at Tolo/JDB or even Vaughn so in reality it's only an extra game I'd get out Kaufusi.

Which one, Tolo, JDB, Vaughn or even Merrin?

I think I have to just keep him. With Wallace and Slater maybe now missing for 15, it's all hands on deck.

Be interesting if QLD bring Slater back, if they thought he wasnt up to game 1 (I disagree) I'm not sure what will change in 3 weeks.

I'm inclined to think its more likely Holmes comes onto wing and Gagai centre. Either way, there isn't room for both Slater and Holmes in game 2.

    But who knows.

The Milf story was from FB page The Rugby League Bible. Can't find corroborating source

Anthony Milford will go in for scans this morning for a possible fractured cheekbone.

If he has suffered a fracture, he will be out for 6 to 8 weeks.

If it's true it's being kept well hidden. I was holding Niko this week so would work out well there. Surely if Milfs out a few weeks, Niko gets the six? Is Niko more a halfback though? Bennet might opt for Benji long term since he's more of a five eigth is he not?. That would suck for us.

If Gurgess can average 40 near future he plays 1 more bye after this week when I need to get a non player for 17 loophole and bank 208k selling a player with 79 be and dodgy ribs for a former semi-gun with 15 be

Sounds like you've talked yourself into it mate. Obviously your guts telling you to go for it. I was all for selling Brown, but who fucking knows. They would have to do a lot of contact on him at training to make sure he's right, so I don't see him going out and lasting 5 minutes, he wouldn't be playing unless he was ready.

Looking at Gurgess too, maybe for Yates next week. I need to see if he's still in the side first.

I think Bennett sees Niko more as an impact player off the bench this year. Going to be infuriating to see Benji start at 6 again

    Niko - Edwards
    CHN - Taumalolo

Pull the trigger? Or save money and go JDB?

Keep him. He might lose cash short term, but he'll get the cash back once he's fully fit again in time to sell round 19/20. May even be a season keeper.

Unless you think he won't get back to fitness in 6 weeks, in which case - sell.

Gambling on Gurgess opens up a whole lot of future trade options while retaining bye cover

That's what I will do, keep him, expect some minutes and points to be lost for a few weeks only (hopefully), then keep him to the end. After all, he was posting keeper scores (56.2, but only 6 games) since he become a starting lock. Excluding his last game when he was injured.

56.2 is the 2nd best FRF ave, at the moment.

Unless Milford is actually out injured I think I will cash out Niko and trade Suli to Munster. I read what others were saying about Brown and I'll give him a chance. Punting Niko to NuBrown gives me cash that I feel I will need to eventually upgrade Aubusson and Elliot plus another player for round 15. Slater will become Tedesco or Gordon if he gets picked for Origin 2.

11 trades and 276k in the bank

    Smith McInnes
    Graham James Brown Fai
JDB Surgess Gallen Crichton Elliot Fuimaono
    SJ Munster Hampton NuBrown
    BJ Aubusson Kelly Idris
    RTS Slater CWalker Hayne Phythian

Anybody see anything that I don't?
