Last night I had a cabbie in a Rabbitohs jersey after the Cowboys v Rabbitohs game. Needless to say I was at full banter. (I thought we were going to get kicked out he seemed upset.) So I tried to look at the positives. Then we had this exchange..
Me: Well it could be worse, at least you aren't the Roosters. (In reference to him supporting Rabbitohs)
Cabbie: They beat us last week.
...The silence in the taxi was deafening.
Another short exchange..
Mate: Do you have any spare shirts to wear instead of that one? (Cabbie was wearing a Rabbitohs jersey.)
Cabbie: Yeah I do, I have 6 other Rabbitohs ones. I wouldn't piss on a Cowboy shirt.
Mate: Well at least they are good around the Christmas time to keep things festive.
Me: At least they are good for something then.
Again met by complete and total silence. Our other two friends remained silent the whole ride because they had some food and didn't want him to get upset about that.
Oh another small tidbit from last night. We took my mates girlfriend who is from overseas and she had never been to a football game but was getting in on the cheering. There was a Queenslander chant at one stage and she yelled out "Free Splenda".

Well the Broncos are playing like the Broncos (Milford is having a beast night.) and the Knights are playing like the Knights, busted, out of form and out of place in the NRL. Yeah, like Random said, injuries mainly. Ended up with no-one on the bench I think and Tariq left centre and and Jacob Saifiti right centre!

Pretty well placed to win multiple over the next five years or so though
But any time your side wins 50-0 it is worth getting up for though, even against a side like the Knights.
