Also Burbo has now started 4 games at EDG and made it to the end of 1. Tom suddenly looks like a durable brother

I thought he was putting in a crossfield kick for Saab but it was terrible and went straight down the middle. 20-40 probably makes more sense.

Tbf I don’t think they were actually serious about that, just drawing a parellel because fuck knows what Garrick was actually playing for with that option

Probably a little of both. Not a bad idea, except Saab can't tackle if the opposition get to it first.

That’s also possible. Either way he definitely meant to kick cross field not up the guts for a kicking duel  like the commentators are saying.

Well he ran up to the 20 and then Saab was chasing hard, so I think he was thinking a 20-40 or a cross field kick for Saab, or maybe a hedge of both. Good commentators could’ve made the serous analysis in amongst the “kick duel lolz”. making it look like he’s brainless instead of poorly executing what was probably a risky but rehearsed play is pretty rough.

Must be about time for a Cleary junk FG, or a try or LB + TA or all of the above.

Plus if this low percentage play had come off they would’ve been calling everyone involved geniuses, there wouldn’t have been any “hang on that kicking duel was really stupid” calls.

What was there to analyse? He kicked the ball down Dylan Edwards throat on tackle 1, why do you need an auditory masters thesis about what happened?

    I mean, it’s their job?

Like 99% of what they do is mundane obvious comments that add nothing. Here was a chance to add something to explain some weird shit. Not sure why this is melting your brain.

Have to settle for a junk FDO Sleep Penalty goal would've been something. One of the worst plays all season to turn it down.

Think Manly can get up for this enough to keep it respectable.

Well, regrets. Mind you he hasn't played yet, could go worse.
