    1. Single trade: Ford to someone under $580k (Brooks, Luki)  (when Brooks is a leading contender there has to be some big question marks over this)

    2. Double trade: Ford & Sloan  to  Oloapu/VTW  & Horse/Young/Tohu

Not worth saving a trade if it means trading in someone that I don't really want, while weakening my scoring 17 and likely having to trade said player back out at some point in the not so distant future.

Have similar comnundrum but just ensure if I do make two trades it helps out my bye rounds so I feel better about it

Really didn’t want to make any trades

Latrell will miss Round 13, 16, 19, 20 and 26 at the very least and probably a few more at some stage for doing something stupid and getting suspended. He may also get rested after an origin game. That is a about 1/3 of the rest of the season

Also he has had quite a good run already. He is bound to drop in price. Cash out and spend it on a GUN MID or HOK

I've had Latrell since the start and always planned on shipping him out for Drinkwater/Walsh/Bye friendly WFB but he's saved my butt a few times and I'm hesitant

The EDG/MID dual position is more valuable than I realised, so I don't see an issue with getting Hopgood back in, especially with him playing all 3 major byes (assuming he doesn't get picked for origin)

Exactly. Need to look at trades logically and without emotion. Every week is a new week, forget about the past.

Disclaimer. I traded out Hopgood and then back in 4 weeks later. I only have 14 trades though.... Smile

Yeah the DPP and lower price has me leaning bringing Hop back in over Matto as another trade in option. Particularly because Ford is being traded out, so need an EDG for R13 now

The second one - if option 1 never had Hopgood previously and is only just bringing him in for the first time now they’ve probably got other problems in their team and a lack of team value across the board.

Also anyone that can remove the emotion from the decision making and just focus on picking the best option in isolation of decisions they’ve made in the past is probably doing something right with their team and it’s probably the right decision for them.

    Agreed Fortitude Greenschist.

It's like red, red, red. Next one black right? Nope, 50/50. Or like super funds.

Yeah Ipap is a prime target for rd16 & rd19, currently I'm planning to keep Hosking for the other EDG position in rd16

    Thoughts??

Angus seems like an ideal rd 14 buy if he keeps his starting spot when Butcher is back

Incredible name and pun potential too. Does anyone have any NSW cup wordplay data? We need the stats

Drinkwater or Schoup for the next thread title

I'm literally buying him back this week and I don't think it matters whether you sold or not. I did the same thing with Cheese, and plan to do it again with Haas over Origin

I'm not prepared to sell Hynes, even if I had not just bought him, that's not relevant and I shouldn't have mentioned it.  I am selling Cook this week (his draw is too easy for him to rack up base and the attack isn't going through him so the easy draw is no good) and likely also Haas in round 13, which I think at least fits the concept of what easytiger's recommendation was.

I'm also trading Hammer instead of Ford because Ford is more useful to me in round 13 and 14, and it doesn't affect my team this week to hold Ford (if I held Hammer I would be in the same situation having to loop Soni and Oloapu, and I'm trading Russell next week so I won't have to do that next week)

I too am struggling to justify trading out Ford this close to Rd 13. Doing so just creates a tough hole for me to fill at Edge in a few weeks time.
Holding him does mean I likely have to play all 3 of Sele, Oloapu and Soni Luke this week which is far from ideal.

For what it’s worth, I think trading Cook is the right move.

Do we even know what Ford's injury is? TLT said he's out due to HIA, but also mentioned injury. Pretty vague.

Does the potential point loss this week of holding him and playing an extra spud just counteract the extra player in round 13?  Especially if the replacement scores like trash
