Observation of other teams here. Some have stacked with Origin players.

Its still only round 10. A lot of people haven't max traded and will use that to their advantage in round 13 onwards.

My plan is to get 90% ready for round 13 and save trades the next few weeks. Make maybe a couple of trades to adjust in round 13.

Is that a polite way of saying that other people have good team management skills Laughing

Eh not really, its just how it is. Keeping byes in mind is important, but round 13 isn't the be all and end all, and teams who have trades up their sleeve will move through that period a lot easier when they can use those trades once the byes actually roll around, once origin teams are selected, etc

I haven't actually looked at how many I (potentially) have yet, but that's probably because my rank is not very impressive.

Tino to Tatola is kinda tempting today.
220k put in the bank for maybe 5 points less a week if they both play over 40 minutes

Paying $700k for Bird is pretty gross but seems to be a fair price for the scores he is putting up at centre. Think it needs to be done

I had a closer look and think Horse is fairly remote for Origin - like he’s one of 7 MIDs for 2-3 undecided spots (likely Fifita as bench edge; then 2 of Papa, Cotter, Welch, HopGOD, Flegler, Gilbert, Horse). So I think I’m doing Preston to Horse.

EDIT: I’m assuming Tino, Carrigan and Collins are locked in. Along with Kaufusi, Capewell, Hunt and Grant

I do need a centre this week. Am desperate for Timoko but I’m worried to pay a premium and him and Croker score close to each other like mid 30s

If I have Croker, Best and Alamoti I’ll have two centres for all the bye rounds

I would expect Cotter, Papa and Welch to be well ahead of any of the others.

Thinking Murray/Preston to Horse/Fifita. Gets in another R13 number and a true keeper in the position. That's fair?

Could get Robson instead of Fifita, but think I can get Robson for cheaper closer to R13, doesn't feel as helpful from a points perspective

Yeah, I don't think he's anywhere near selection. Not for the first game anyway. Maybe if we get dominated he may be in contention for game 2 but we won last year, Billy won't stray far from who got the job done for him. Also, it would be silly if he did. Second year of coaching. He kind of fluked the win last year (no disrespect) so I would think coming into his second year and changing things too much wouldn't be the smartest move.

I think we stick loyal for game 1 and then look at other options if we lose that first game.

    Exactly.

Still expect Papa to get another shot, Cotter to be picked if fit. And Welch the most likely to replace either. Then the other 4 are more likely to come in later in the series if there’s attrition or losses.

How many of them do you expect to be in your final team? If you dont have Manu and he keeps the 6 jersey, he is looking like a must have, and has dropped in price by $90k since the start of the season, 2 scores over 60, BE of 35, not getting any cheaper this season, and he hasn't been doing anything special yet, his best scores are still to come.

True, but better than wasting trades on centres each week. It’s a stupid position that should be lumped in with WFB

Manu and best will be my final two centres with Croker in the 18-21

If they had 5 spots for outside backs atm you’d want more centres than WFBs in there.

Think this has probably been true for the last few seasons. I reckon it’s more a historical mindset thing than reality With CTRs

True but if there’s 5 spots you’d fill up with centres. You can have three guns and it’s fine however now you don’t want to play 2 guns in their spot and have to keep another one on the bench incase one is out for cover.

I don’t see to many teams with an extra centre in the 14-17 in their final teams. It’s fine if you can lump them in and yes I would as well
