Apart from the fact that Egan Butcher played almost exclusively as a bench mid last year, there's no reason for him to get dual :/

He's been categorised as an edge, he'll probably be named as an edge in Round 1 (if Angus is missing), he won't be a starting prop, so they're not going to change it. They've accidented on his correct position for 2023.

So another A+ from Fiona, potentially destroying a dual mid/edge GUN Sad

Back down to L9. Highest ever was L4 once. This year is my tenth year. I don’t know at what stage I just have to admit I’m not good at this game haha

Do you think Uto can get 40-45mins? Worth punting on him?

Anyone watch the Panthers v St Helens match. I am going to go one of Hoskings or Garner. I am leaning towards Hoskings atm, as I heard Garner looked very average. Any details on substitutions / performances of these two. I know Hoskings did quite well with regard to a Fantasy score.

Only gun edge I’m considering is Fifita. He’s got a bit of value priced in, if you gamble he starts and plays 60+ all season long.

I know everyone else hates him for being lazy, but I find my players playing like shit but still having a 45 base is way better than the rest of my players playing like shit and also scoring shit.

Didn't see the game. Always fear choosing the wrong one of two high work rate / potentially high minute middle forwards from the same team (Haas, Carrigan) (Tapine, Horsborgh)

Obviously, Carrigan played his guts out, moreso than Haas?

Something like team lists would be a huge help to these decisions I’d imagine

My conclusion from watching Hosking and Garner in that game is that Sorenson could be starting second row.

For me, with Carrigan it's all about the minutes.

If indeed, he is now "The man" within that donkeys forward rotation and looking at ~65 minutes then his average is around 55-58

Donkeys need him on the field

I think Haas is still the man. He played the entire first half in both trials which you can only assume is preparation for playing the entire half during the season. He didn't com on in the second half either week but you'd assume at least another 20 minutes to round out the game. Maybe 25 depending on scoreline

Carrigan played about 30 in the first half, and started the second half when Haas was off the field. Don't think there's any evidence that he plays such big second half minutes if Haas comes back on, but might in close games.

I have them both at the moment but rating Haas significantly ahead of Carrigan.

Liam Martin injured. So its possible they'll both be named round 1, and 1 will be dropped round 2.

Garner seemed to be favourite at one point, whether he still is or not is to be seen.

If he starts I'll probably go with him. But Twal and Ofahengaue haven't played any trials, so its hard to work out where Uto sits in the pecking order. But if he can get back to 2021 form there's a lot of value
