You can't have more than 2 or at most 3 from any team, or you can't cover their bye rounds adequatelyRabbits21 wrote:

I guess an interesting bye strategy might be to start with three or four manly players.. depending on how round 1 plays out (eg some nprs score well early on in the round).
Dont really know if any manly players are worth having beyond the two obvious ones

Dragons have the bye R1 not Manly if you’re talking about looping

Nonsense. You've got twelve rounds to figure out what to do with your dogs players. Some will be cash cows which would have been sold well before the bye. Others you can plan closer to origin.

Yeah, more and more trades each year is really killing the build cash and come from behind strategy. Getting closer to supercoach each time, sadly

Yeah, 44 for your team and 44 for your ‘significant other’s’ team.

Two burning questions….
1. Can you afford to carry 3 Roosters?
2. Do you go a Savage or Miller or look at one of Turbo, Ponga or Walsh?

I got the full mail on what happened today. I’d be surprised if he’s back anytime soon. Probs not appropriate to say anything more, especially in print. If there’s a NRLFF meetup at some stage in 2023 I’m sure the vault can be partially unsealed
I wish it was a fun rumour like the time my mate said he worked with Isaak Ah Mau (Isaak was retraining as a junior financial planner) and he told him that the Broncos went on an end of season trip to Bali one time and Lockyer disappeared for four days on and came back like nothing happened except he obviously hadn’t slept for four days and also had a pet monkey.

Majority will be way too worried about byes and pick bad players. IMO best strategy is pick best players then figure out byes as they come

Disclaimer - I’ve put no serious thought into it, but… I wouldn’t want to build in trades where possible by stacking with certain teams. Because there’s going to be a million reasons for unplanned trades without building them into the strategy.
At the same time I do want to get the players that will get me the most points.
I guess when it comes to a 2nd/3rd/4th player from whatever club I want to be sure their the clear best option

Agree i think a bye in round 12 is a future team problem that will probably resolve itself by then anyway

There’s up to 3 trades a week from R7-12 and 4 from R13 onwards so I think any team with late byes where you have multiple players from, you’ll be able to remove easier (in theory)

not having to try and field large numbers in the big byes should help as well. I’ll be looking at the byes with the short term in mindCamo123 wrote:

Due to the need to meet positional requirements, fielding 13 in each of the bye rounds is still going to be a challenge (and a lot of the time, not something worth breaking your team over)
