    As usual the Broncos with the cushiest draw in the league. If they can't make the 8 this year they never will !!

    17 games in QLD
    3 Byes
    7 away

    Round 13 to 20, every round has between three and seven teams on bye, plus Origin. Used to love taking advantage of bye-planning but this is already making my head hurt.

    How is this different from every Sydney team playing most of their games in Sydney? Lol

    Come on mate, Townsville is just up the road, counts as a home game for the Broncos.

    Seems like a February problem tbh

    Only looked at Dragons draw - via email sent to mailing list, LOL at this:

    Netstrata Jubilee Stadium highlights include a local derby against the Sharks on Sunday evening in round four, a Friday evening blockbuster against the Roosters in round 12 and a Saturday night meeting with the Rabbitohs in round 15.

    WIN Stadium plays host to a pair of Friday night 8pm games in rounds 17 and 19 against the Warriors and Raiders respectively to go with crunch Saturday games against the Sea Eagles and Storm in rounds 22 and 25.

    Would've been faster to say:

    The three biggest home games are at Kogarah, but don't worry Wollongong fans, you get the teams that provide the least interest and travelling support at the worst times

    And in totally predictable news the Knights miss Magic Round. Was always going to be them, Raiders or maybe Manly as an outside bet

    Manly were never going to miss. It was their home game originally, plus the trbo brothers marketing drawcard

    Forgot it’s their home game

    Just trying to throw in a Sydney club, Manly least appealing on many levels, at least while Panthers and Sharks are running good. The others would all have a decent fan base in QLD?

    This is no place for logic !
    Takes longer to drive across Sydney than fly Brisbane - Townsville or anywhere else for that matter.
    I reckon I could get to Bluetongue quicker than Pointsbet from my place.

    Did I mention the Tigers clearly have the hardest draw playing 24 games against teams who finished higher on the table !!!

    Hang on, I know we were bad in 2022, but surely the Dolphins didn't finish ahead of us?

    As a general point, does it really matter who misses magic round? Its not like there are more points on offer, or its easier to get a win than in other rounds.

    And if its a home game, I'd rather my team didn't spend it in another state, but kept it at home so I would be more likely to attend.

    Most things nrl fans whinge about re the draw dont matter.

    I guess its just that people going to magic round want to see their team play? Personally i prefer to go to the day that the broncos ARENT playing and just enjoy the social aspect, but I'm weird

    Round 15 only has the Cowboys, Round 18 only has the Eels

    My fantasy takeaways from the draw;

    Eels have the best bye run; R14 (3 teams on bye), R18 (solo-bye), R27 (solo- although tricky resting round?) - I won't mention them from here.

    Cowboys & Broncos are the last teams to have byes;
    Cowboys R15 (solo) then R19 (big 7 team bye), R24 (solo)
    Broncos R16 (7 team), R19 (7 team), R25 (solo)

    Teams with two solo byes and one 7 team bye;
    Dolphins (16), Warriors (16), Cowboys (19)

    Teams with a relatively low bye impact to start the season:
    Sea Eagles R2 (solo), R14 (3 team), R19 (7 team)
    Knights R10 (solo), R14 (3 team), R19 (7 team)

    Teams with a low bye impact end of season;
    Rabbitohs R16 (7 team), R20 (3 team), R26 (solo)
    Bulldogs R13 (7 team), R17 (3 team), R23 (solo)

    First teams to be clear of byes;
    Titans - R16 last bye
    Tigers, Sharks - R17

    So Titans have their last bye the same round Broncos have their first? They do love a complication, the NRL draw deciders.

    Never happen, but to one day to take out all the competing interests and have a draw that a layperson can somewhat understand would be nice.

    My head hurts already!

    Souths playing home game against Broncos on Sunshine Coast get fucked. No Sydney games due to Womens World Cup between rounds 19-27 that’s 8 weeks Souths travelling a lot at that time.

    First 10 rounds will be challenging for us only 3 home games, Sharks A, Panthers A, Rorters A, Manly H, Storm H, Dogs A, Dolphins A, Panthers H, Broncos A, Storm A.
