Round 21 Challenge


With controveries surrounding suspensions at the moment, we are going to keep with that theme for this challenge.

Pick a team of 13 with one reserve for each position to score the most fantasy points.
Every player picked must have been charged at some point during the season
You can only pick on player that got charged in each round. (use the rounds on the website, don't overthink it)
If a player was suspended for multiple rounds denote any round over that period.
Reserves must have been charged on the same round as one of the players in the same position.
If multiple players in the same position are late outs. You will get a player in the same position that got charged in the same round as the reserve. If there isn't one you will get the score of whoever fills in for the reserve.
Winner get individual immunity at the next tribal council.

Do rep round (nsw etc) charges count FS?

You can only pick on player that got charged in each round

Do carry-over suspensions count? i.e. suspensions from the preceding year/off-season meaning they were serving a charge in R1 but were not "charged" in that round?

Rep round doesn't count.
And as I said don't overthink it. If it says round 1 on the website they count for round 1

Is it OK not to name a reserve for a position if one is not available?

There are three Hookers available for Round 1:
Harry Grant (suspended Round 1 — previous suspension)
Sam Verrills (suspended Round 1 — Careless High Tackle)
Jake Granville (Round 1 — Dangerous Contact, $1000 fine)

It's the only time there are more than 1 hooker suspended for one round - so means everyone would have to select them to be eligible under FS's rules.

It also means we can't have Munster, and would be forced to have a Half from round 4:
Chad Townsend (Round 4 — Careless High Tackle, $1000 fine)
Jake Clifford (Round 4 — Careless High Tackle, $1000 fine)
Lachlan Ilias (Round 4 — Dangerous Contact, $1000 fine)

Brandon Smith (suspended Round 18-20 — Contrary Conduct)
Mitch Kenny (Round 18 — Dangerous Contact, $750 fine)


But if everyone is playing under the same rules, then I think that we just have to have one of those two - as anything else seems an invalid entry?

I’m also planning to use a different hooker and not have a backup. Not having an emergency “should” “disadvantage” myself and I’d be happy to take a 0 if my guy is out so I think that seems fair?

Also you’re missing a half or two just FYI. You can field a team without a round 1 and 4 half.

Wighton in round 10/11 and Milford round 20 (he is listed at the top but not in the team section for some reason)

I would be happy for any of you to submit a team without a RES for certain positions...
especially if it means that we have more diversity.

Do what you want I guess but the rules seem pretty clear and it's possible to select a team by sticking to the rules;

- Reserves must have been charged on the same round as one of the players in the same position.

I am not over thinking it, and running the no reserves gauntlet....

Would love some clarification because this is doing my head in
