Watershed is where they started to lose me unfortunately.  That's still a pretty solid album.

I'm a pretty casual PT fan.  Deadwing is my one real album from them I like, obviously becuase it's a little heavier but Blank Planet is not far behind, great atmosphere on that one.  I don't mind some of the older ones like Lightbulb Sun and In Absentia.  Those are both very good prog albums.

Yeah, Deadwing and In Absentia are my favourites after Fear...

Not only one of my favourite albums but Licking Creme and Waffle some of my top tracks of all time.
Skin's vocals  on Licking Creme just.... next level. Like nothing else.

Haha, that's awesome you love it so much as well. One of those albums that you can't play loud enough, recorded so crisp and every song just rolls into the next.

The Tea Party-The Edges of Twilight

They had an awesome run of albums, but this is the one that got me in to them.

This is by far their greatest album and simply one of the most amazing albums of the 90's, or ever really. The debut had some great stuff but it all clicked here. The mix of styles is sublime and Jeff Martin's voice is so easy to listen to. The whole thing is a journey with everything really being a highlight. The one two punch of Fire and Bazaar is too good and the underrated cut Correspondences is one of the most emotional songs ever IMO.

Sister Awake turns up the influences but is such a trip. I love the ending duo of Coming Home and Walk With Me too, the album finishes as strong as it started.

My first album was actually Transmission. I really enjoyed the more industrial sound so hearing Edges of Twilight second threw me off. I think everything they have done is worthwhile although the did lose me with the reunion album Ocean at the End but I think that might have been a me problem moving onto different things over the years. Didn't check the last one either.

Seven Circles and Interzone Mantras are two really great underrated albums too from them.

That's exactly how I would have run through the tracks.  And yeah, it's a very rare album that you are actually hanging out for the last couple of songs because they saved some of the best riffs till last instead of it being filler! Even after that when that 20 second out-take/demo of Correspondences flashes up, Jeff sounds either absolutely tortured or completely smashed, maybe both. Or it might have been a piss pull of himself, haha.

I remember the exact day I actually bought Transmission.  I had just got my first tax return after struggling at Uni for years and I went out and bought Transmission and lashed out on a bottle of Bulliet bourbon (and more than likely a packet of lolly gobble bliss bombs).  That Babylon riff is still one of my favourites.

The Butterfly Effect-Begins Here.  Still get goose bumps hearing "push me over the edges" and waiting for the opening riff to crash in!

Met them at a meet and greet maybe 20 years ago now. They were actually a really daunting looking bunch of lads at first, but really cool.  Saw them again in Freo about 5 years ago front row!

Still haven't listened to last year's new album though.

Speaking of kiwi bands of the heavier persuasion - you should check out Alien Weaponary if you're not already a fan.

Yeah, got into Alien Weaponry when they came up as a suggestion on YouTube a few years ago. Hard to believe they were just a 3 piece when I first heard them.

Nice. I prefer their previous and now current bands (Motley Crue and LA Guns) - and their first album - but this was a pretty decent project.

I saw them live at the Gaelic Theatre, in Sydney. Was one of the harshest gigs I ever recall attending. Absolute wall of sound to the point it was pretty much inaudible. Every time I went to the Gaelic afterwards (Candy Harlots reunion, Crashdiet etc.) I stood at the back of the room to try and get a decent balance of sound, because up front in front of those speakers was just white noise, sadly.

Probably their most solid album. However, being the gigantic soft-cock that I am, I absolutely cannot go past the wimpy "hidden" track, 'Forever,' at the end of the 'Saturate' album. Man I love that tune.

Candy Harlots!!!  Still a proud owner of 5 Wicked Ways on CD Smile    Had 'Foreplay' on tape back in the day, might be worth something nowadays, or not...
