It's one of those albums I'll throw on when I'm cleaning the house, I won't be listening but it's still on. I was middle class white kid who dyed his hair blonde when Eminem was big. Looking back at the photos now is such an embarrassment. Just shocking decision making.
The 90's/early 00's were not a good time for anybody, fashion wise. Tragic.
A new LOL emoticon thanks to Random today I would say
My 16 year old daughter has got into a heap of 90's bands over the last 6 months. Thought it was a phase at first but she is still going strong, which makes me proud
. As opposed to her older sister who listens to today's chart shit-she has been a disappointment pretty much her whole life that one though...
Anyway, I digress. We were watching YouTube on the big TV the other day now that I can do that with my new xboxone
and I showed her the clip for Even Flow and she was like "what the hell is Eddie Vedder wearing!!!" . I explained to her that pretty much all of us alternative folk back then wore a flanny, shorts, white socks and basketball shoes in those days. Double cringe when I told her we wore that 365 days of the year-"but, but, Dad, that's too hot for Summer and not warm enough for winter". Me "I know sweetheart, I know".
