A new LOL emoticon thanks to Random today I would say
My 16 year old daughter has got into a heap of 90's bands over the last 6 months. Thought it was a phase at first but she is still going strong, which makes me proud . As opposed to her older sister who listens to today's chart shit-she has been a disappointment pretty much her whole life that one though...
Anyway, I digress. We were watching YouTube on the big TV the other day now that I can do that with my new xboxone and I showed her the clip for Even Flow and she was like "what the hell is Eddie Vedder wearing!!!" . I explained to her that pretty much all of us alternative folk back then wore a flanny, shorts, white socks and basketball shoes in those days. Double cringe when I told her we wore that 365 days of the year-"but, but, Dad, that's too hot for Summer and not warm enough for winter". Me "I know sweetheart, I know".
Wonder if blink182 will translate to future teens aswell as it did when I was a teenager. Something to look forward to, brainwash a bunch of little un's into my 90s/00s/10s music.
My uncle had the same conversation with his 14 year old, who thought he was really cool and edgy before he saw a photo of his dad as a kid wearing converse and ripped jeans. Not so groundbreaking any more.
Oh yeah, the ripped jeans, haha. Might need to email Dip to give him a heads up about this forum so he can describe his Hypercolour Tshirts.
