Damn, just missed it

After I was unable to reverse my trade of Bullemor to Starling on Saturday night I sent a complaint to FanHub. My response was that you cannot reverse trades after the first game of the season. Is there any truth to that?

How I'm tearing my team apart for Cleary...

Last week's trades in preparation:
Mahoney => Starling
Ilias => Thompson

This week:
Burton => Cleary
Bullemor => 300k player

Why Burton? My other option is Aitken.
After 3 games I haven't seen what I expected from Burton & the Bulldogs. They have a tough draw coming up and I honestly think Aitken is going to be better value for the next period of time. It also helps that I have enough high scoring CTRs in the team.

I don't think I'll rush Cleary in. I'm about 80k short of Crichton to Cleary right now but there's nobody that's peaked in value or any worthwhile cheapies coming up that'll free up the right money.

I am aware I'll change my mind next week when he returns and immediately gets 90+

Just looked at the BEs at the top of the page. Gagai is 700k for a pure centre?!! Wild.

No, that's nonsense. Were they both on your bench to begin with though? Had you made another trade to fund it? If there was any positional change with either trade involving players who'd played already then you wouldn't have been able to reverse it.

Hadn't used any trades, but now that *Talking Heads voice* we're on a road to Cleary...I'm starting this week.

Bullemor and Uto to Starling and Thompson this week. Leaves 132k in the bank.

In a perfect world both Erin Clark and Jake Clifford score huge this week, while Cleary goes terribly and another team has some kind of injury disaster meaning that I can boot Clark and Clifford for Cleary and a 220k cash cow with decent job security next week. But of course because this is Fantasy, the opposite of all of those things will happen, and I'll be scratching my head working out how I'll have to get it done the week after. Ultimately my goal is to not give up any genuine guns for Cleary, and to also not have to bring in a 220k red dot to make it happen either.

Mulvy holiday trivia tradition continues. Tonight was Maroochy RSL. Four way tie for first apparently, I would have preferred more questions for a tie break, but heads/tails decided we were third. $25 big ones. I'll take it!

I'm getting Cleary at some point for sure. Not this week. Lolo will probably make way, at some point. Maybe even Kurt Mann after a couple of price rises, but will be hard to say goodbye to the legend.

Also, hope I'm not going off too early, but just noticed that MTB is on the verge of immortality! Would be great to see a page 51 party for him, if not this thread, maybe the next one.

In my app as we speak I've actually traded out Fifita, but I was not aware that Titans play Tigers this weekend. Hearing this makes me want to not trade him out, for this week, anyway.

BUT! Then I think how Titans have played Eels in a points-a-thon, and he did fuck all.

Then they played the Warriors, who should have lost to the Tigers last week, in a pretty loose match. And he did fuck all.

Then the Titans unleashed a point scoring frenzy on the Raiders in the first half this week. And he did fuck all.

I honestly don't think I will have the testicular fortitude to trade him out this week, but is there any valid reason why he may actually score well this week, when he has not yet? Or is it just that he "is due?"

Im not panicking about Cleary. Its easy to look at your team and see the vast limitations on how the Cleary trade happens, but a couple of rounds is a long time in fantasy football. Something as simple as a Mann injury and a 20 from Burton would probably see me make the necessary trades. Team structure changes so quickly that I feel its best to just see what opens up in the next weeks. Unless Cleary gets a banner, in which case we all destroy our teams trying to get him in.

Can't get Cleary this week (Thanks to Bullemor), and to be fair I want to wait a week anyway.

But yes, it is to free up a heap of cash for Cleary next week. As much as Fifita is irritating me immensely, I wouldn't think about trading him out if not for Cleary.

My rule of thumb is if you reverse your trades more than two times then just don't fucking trade. Your future self will thank you. I've currently looked at and reversed Fifi/Lolo to Cleary/Jones about five times and it's only Monday.
