I think I had some limp loop idea in play too, but yeah, it's a terrible idea to attempt it with this team because I'm same as you, only look at the team somewhere near midnight on Sunday. I remember mucking up a loop with this team by not checking it many times before.

You bought Davey to do the trade in of Cleary? Davey is back to a limited bench role in a couple of weeks, only scored 22 as starting EDG this week and has a BE of 17.
Is Madden an option for you instead? BE of 6. Looks good for 40-50 the next 2 weeks and the Tigers need a shake up, which normally means dropping Brooks. Could end up next to Hastings if they lose more games.
Surely you have 4 players in your EMG better than Ilias vs Panthers with Cleary playing?

Feel like I should be chasing the points a bit more, but clearing the duds and coin goats instead, playing the long game. The long game may not be better than the short, but this team has potential to outdo my normal team for cash gen and ability to get Cleary easily in 1-2 rounds.
