Autofill - Hunt and Hynes out will be my last two trades. One has to be a centre to cover Crichton this week Sad Cleary, AFB and Moses still sitting in the wings.

Bird was only out because he was serving his suspension right? So should be straight back in.

It's ultimately about making good trades at the right time.
The more good trades you make, generally the less trades you need to make (because the players you traded in are performing well).

    Easy said than done.

I think what someone nailed it when they said; if you would've had them to start the season, then they're probably worth grabbing later on
(Looking at you: Tommy Turbo, CHN)

Yeah the Turbo one is a shocker. 477k was an auto-selection pre-season for me. 477k in R5 and I pass. Then as he racks up points, I think he's got too expensive considering missed games through Origin (given the amount of guns rested, not that big a deal) and that the tries and monster hauls will stop (has not happened). Now he could be a legit option instead of bringing back Cleary... at twice that price.

Updated team tracker and got the 1 trade left to trade out Hunt

Options I've narrowed to Mahoney, Cook, Crichton or Murray

Picking a HOK would just replace Hunt as starting, other options in the squad are Brailey, Watson and Verrills. If I go with Angus/Murray then Brailey would start instead.

Mahoney seems to be the best scoring choice - averaging 65 this year minus his injury game. The Eels' tough run home should also ensure he's on the field more often and should rack up more tackles - Moses back should help his game somewhat as well

My current MID options are Haas, IPap, Radley, Watson and Thompson - so somewhat weaker but serviceable especially once Thompson is back. But a Crichton or Murray would make that look a lot better, and I could just run with Brailey as a starter......

With 4 weeks remaining, if cleary doesn't return this week, are you guys giving up on him? Say he comes back next week and averages 70 for the next 3, thats 210 points in total, you can easily breakeven by bringing in a guy this week that averages 52.5 points

If Hynes isn't named at half (ie Hughes out) I'm tempted to trade him to Cleary whether he's back this week or not. Another low score and he could drop too much to do the trade next week

    It's quite unbelievable.
Honestly, in over 10 years playing this game I struggle to recall a time when a player has elevated their game (and fantasy scoring) by such a degree.
This is his seventh year playing NRL... 7th!
18 tries, 19 try assists and all the other stats in just 11 games - that's crazy (previous best return was 12 tries in 22 games in 2017)

I briefly traded Fog -> Turbo last night - then decided it was madness to use my third-last trade to possibly net me 30 points over 17th man Averillo.  You just can't trade in a guy who is coming off scoring 2 hat tricks in his last 3 games - it's not like they're going to score another hat trick - except for the fact that YOU HAD TO! Laughing

I think Turbo is quite possibly the worst trade I have ever not made - or possibly ever will not make...
    Honestly:

I can appreciate penrith in the past have given little reason to believe their injury information. Apart from a couple of apparent contact sessions, there isn't much to be optimistic on clearys return.  In saying that he'll be named 18-21 tlt  Laughing

If Fog isn't back, I can go Laurie and Fog to Blore and Turbo.  Leaves me with 1 trade though.

It's Turbo but seems madness trading in a 930K fullback playing the Storm.

Any reason not to go Bunt to Grant with my 2nd last trade? Grant seems the obvious pick but part of me is wary given he's tweaked that hammy twice this year and could very easily do it again.

The only real other option I see is Cook, and I don't really trust him.

Trading out Turbo in round 13 at 783k not looking so great now. New rule to never trade out a player on a hot streak, no matter how unsustainable it is

Alvaro got the DNP because he played '0' minutes (less than 30 seconds to round to 0)
Laurie lasted over a minute, so he will always be counted.

Plus they could well have fixed the bug/feature that meant Alvaro's score didn't count. (who am I kidding - its Fanhub, that bug will still be around)

At face value getting a 70 average and making 300k sounds like a win, but since then he has averaged 97 and made another 250k Embarassed
